From Gulf Coast Media: The 12th-annual Fairhope Film Festival took over downtown Fairhope last weekend, offering independent cinema and newly released films paired with panels and Q&As.
One of those panels featured Delaney Buffett, daughter of the late Jimmy Buffett, a writer, producer and director who showed her most recent film, “Adult Best Friends” and discussed it afterward at Page & Palette. The film follows a woman who “takes her codependent best friend on a weekend trip to break the news that she’s getting married,” according to Rotten Tomatoes, which scored it a 100%.
Buffett sat on a panel with Amy and Anthony Thaxton, of Thaxton Studios, the husband-and-wife duo behind the documentary “Eudora.”
