Yes, JD, TTWWY is on iTunes. I didn't know about the Beatles deal. I think it's terrific. It's been a long time coming, that's for sure. And, as you say, it may well have a domino effect.

I have just been reading some articles on Rhapsody vs. iTunes this very evening. This one from a huge fan of Rhapsody: http://blogs.zdnet.com/web2explorer/?p=292 And speaking of "license restriction crap" there is this extraordinary "announcement" from Steve Jobs just today: http...

No LICENSE TO CHILL album on iTunes?

Anyone know why the album License To Chill is not available on iTunes? The song LTC is available but only from Live At Fenway.

A couple clarifications, the seals being hunted are adults, not babies or "pups" Canada's commercial seal hunt is the largest, and most brutal, slaughter of marine mammals on earth. In 2006 the Canadian government allowed fishermen to club and shoot at least 354,344 seals in the North Atl...

Well, if you agree with my friend Bwana Paul (see above) that the Humane Society is a bunch of profiteering wackos, then you will not be interested in their summary of the seal hunt. But if you think he might be wrong about the Humane Society, here it is: http://www.hsus.org/marine_mammals/protect_s...

Here We Are video now at iTunes

The Here We Are video is up now on iTunes. Continuing with the dubious marketing plan that no one should know about Here We Are, it still does not appear on the TTWWY page. You have to search for Buffett Here We Are.

It sounds like the memorial is a fitting celebration of an extraordinary life. One correction: Though I didn't see the broadcast, I'm sure the song Jimmy sang was the famous "Do you know what it MEANS to miss New Orleans?" Not, "Do you know what it's like to miss New Orleans." Th...

For me, it didn't show up on the track list for TTWWY. I had to do a search for "Here We Are" and find it in that list. A little late and still a "hidden track" so to speak, but it's finally available as a song - on its own two feet.

Thanks SGH and blondie!

Me, too. I loved the song instantly for the music. Then I heard certain lyrics which were intriguing. When I finally got all of the lyrics all I could say was that it sounded like something pretty important - some epic historical event - but I have no clue what that might be. Of course, it might be ...

Rummy was amazingly entertaining at times. His unflapability and dogged determination - ignoring everything and everyone (almost) around him - were something to behold. His command of language was something to celebrate in an Administration captained by the tongue-tied W. But, but, but what a traged...

For me, the "assets" folder is down low in the window - separate from the other contents. Why???? Anyway, I have to scroll down to see it. Maybe it's the same for you. :-?

Hey, cartmill - good critical writing is one of my favorite things. If it's done right, I can actually understand what I experienced better. I like your style. You covered the album well and had some thoughtful, intelligent observations. And I especially loved the line in the opening paragraph where...

Etta James is an amazing character - a survivor in the record business perhaps 20 years longer than Jimmy! She definitely has a feistiness and a temper, and it's unfortunate that she cut the show short. Here is an excerpt from the allmusic.com website (a great resource) regarding the grabbing: "...
