Re: Favorite Commercials
I'll have to put a vote in for The man who walked around the world , a commercial for Johnnie Walker. It may be a bit longer than most commercials, but that's part of the beauty of it. I'm also genuinely impressed by Robert Carlyle's work here - since it's a single shot, he had to do the entire 6 mi...

Re: Trying anything new for Thanksgiving?
That sounds amazing.
My favorite Thanksgiving recipe is Ina Garten's turkey roulade and stuffing from meal planner. It's got dried figs, cranberries, apple brandy, pine nuts, rosemary, hot and sweet sausage. It's always a hit and I look forward to making and eating it every year.

Re: What song has 'grown on you'?
Its a journey, it starts with those songs you know by heart, then pretty soon you find some of the other gems. One Particular Harbor, Island, Southern Cross. I also highly recommend some books. Salty Piece of Land is a favorite of mine that I read at least once a year.

The Mismeasure of Man. Stephen J Gould rebuttal to the bell Curve. Interesting, what would you say are the biggest points that this book counters in The Bell Curve? Just the race-related IQ conclusions, that low IQ results in poor living conditions, or that IQ is genetic? https://onplanners.com/tem...

Re: What are YOU reading?
Just finished Invitation to a Beheading, and my first Nabokov book. What a ride that was. I'm amazed that I don't see more people talking about this book though. It seems too be overshadowed by Nabokov's Lolita.

Great topic!
You are hero
I was 250 pounds. Currently 140.
It was calorie counting, plain and simple and planner for meal prepping. No special diets. No particularly heavy exercise. I just watched what I ate. Lost 110 lbs in about a year and a half.

Re: Jimmy Buffett - Buried Treasure
Just recieved ! It was really cool to hear all the stories behind the songs. It's one thing to hear new Jimmy music (which I ALWAYS love!) but it's another to feel like you're sitting right there with him on the couch, having a chat with him about the meaning of the songs. Really cool I've never see...
