Re: Coral Reefers show in Atlantic City on 1/24

They seem to be feeling their way through this. The venues for the 2025 concerts are all Hard Rock venues and all have a 7,000 person capacity - far below what Jimmy used to book

Does anyone else wonder...

Why we don't get tired of Jimmy's music? I've been listening for 20+ years and have been to 40 something concerts, and yet I never tire of listening to it day in and day out. I owned a coffeeshop and Radio Margaritaville plays day in and day out never gets old. Even my staff starts humming the songs ...

Re: What JB song really 'speaks to you' about your life & dreams

I can honestly say different Buffett songs at different times have felt like the lyrics were written for me. Son of a sailor has always been near and dear to me because my son is a SOASOAS . And as I am 38 now Pirate looks at 40 means more to me every day. The one that kind of explains me is It's My ...

Re: Jimmy Buffett cover of Kenny Chesney

My wife likes the guy but I refer to him as Kenny CHEESEY, because he taps into Jimmy's kinda music and tries to give off that persona. Look at the guy's website it screams Jimmy Wanna Be. At least Zac Brown seems more authentic and a lot more real in his music.

Re: Worst parking lot on the tour(not worst personal experience)

Actually we had a great set up and got a lot of compliments. I was more p**sed off at the venue and they way they set up their parking lots. I've been to the last 4 shows at MSG and never had an issue with Stout and I've usually brought 5 or 6 people with me. They always seem to accomodate everybody ...

Re: Worst parking lot on the tour(not worst personal experience)

Although I did see one of the funniest/dangerous drinking games I've ever seen in a parking lot. (at Camden)

At first i thought it was some kinda redneck thing, it consisted of 1- flipping a hammer in the air 2- catching it 3- hitting a nail and driving it into a stump. I'm not sure where the ...

Re: Worst parking lot on the tour(not worst personal experience)

My guess is that at Camden charging $25 to park inbetween warehouses surrounded by barbed wire is standard operating procedure, not an isolated experience. Also the drive in was easy on a nice wide well lit road, unfortunately the exiting procedure was to force cars through what I can only describe ...

Re: First Concert - margaritaville question

I've been to 30 something shows and have never heard "pass the salt" I'm not a fan of 'salt, salt, salt' either but that was something Jimmy, Tina G, and Nadirah started doing 10-15 years ago on stage and it became the status quo

Worst parking lot on the tour(not worst personal experience)

I've been to 30 something Buffett concerts in 9 different venues, and I have come to believe that the parking lot experience can really make the day memorable, or not so memorable in some cases. If I had thought about this a few months ago, I would have voted for Foxboro stadium but Camden blew it ...

Re: Woman Gone crazy on Caroline Street

There was a concert several years ago in ATL at Lakewood which was preceded by Severe Thunderstorm Warnings ... brought traffic to a standstill ... Marta was disabled, etc. and it rained throughout the show. But Jimmy sang this song and was so into it, as was the band, that I remember thinking ...

Woman Gone crazy on Caroline Street

This has to easily be my FAVORITE Buffett song live. I always thought the original recording was OK, but this song in concert rocks. The guitars, the drums just an awesome live song. Take nothing away from the other songs live, but I would pay to see this one over and over again live. Glad to see it ...

1993 Chameleon Caravan - Jones Beach and every year since it's now up to over 30 something shows, Of course back in 1994 tickets didn't sell out in 3.5 minutes like they do nowadays. Actually used to stand in line at a ticketmaster outlet. Got introduced by an ex-girlfriend she didn't last that much ...

I wouldn't miss Gilette. I won't go back. Sound was horrible, security was ridiculous, getting out of the lots. Go back to Great Woods!!! Security tossed my brother-in-law because he was picking up beach balls and tossing them into the stands. Zero tolerance by security.
