Jimmy's Guitar

Here's a couple of resources. I've been playing on and off for years. Olga.net was good, but the publishers got it closed.

Jimmy's Guitar

It appears to be a 1969 Classic Telecaster. It is listed on their website and appears to be currently available in natural, they just don't show a picture.

Although Jimmy's is probably custom, a replica can be had.

The mango chutney with coconut shrimp is pretty good.

The whole idea was cooked up by an advertising agency, Jimmy's only involvement is to collect royalties. When it first came out there was an article in the local paper all about the process.

Dave used to record the Friday shows after he did the Thursday show and take Fridays off. I don't know if he still does.

CF Martin Ad in June 2003 Acoustic Guitar

The back cover of the June 2003 issue of Acoustic Guitar features Jimmy's sunburst D 18 on the beach. They have been featuring famous owner guitars in their recent ads, previously featuring Arlo Guthrie and Johnny Cash.
