My part time job is working security for concerts in my area. I work in front of the stage. As such, I had a plethora of live Buffett music at work. I have done his shows for years and remember the Irvine Meadows shows warmly. The crowds down front are usually in a pretty good mood and his shows are...

Tom Corcoran's writes mysteries about Alex Rutledge, a photographer who occasionally works for the police or sheriff's department. The stories are based in Key West. He has a new one coming out this summer. Randy Wayne White writes about Doc Ford, based in the Sanibel Island area of Gulf Coast Flori...

San Diego Could Be Sad

We have tickets for the Wednesday San Diego show. Forecasts are for rain and cold, (by SoCal Standards). It will probably be in the 50's at show time. We have had calls and emails from the venue telling us not to arrive before 3:30 and that tailgating will be curtailed after 6:30. I just read the em...

I have to agree with Tahoeparrothead. I have been to most of the Irvine shows and they were the best. Time was when Jimmy used to end the tour with that show and then take a few weeks in Hawaii after so he really blew the lid off. I would say that one of the mellowest shows I've been to was a couple...

I believe I have the answer to my own question, (which is a good thing because this forum doesn't see a whole lot of activity). The sausage in question is boudan. This would be a great sausage to take to the San Diego concert for tailgating purposes. :D

Why am I talking to myself? :(

Baby at San Diego

Me and Laura would like to take our 1-1/2 year old son to the show but can't get in touch with the Coors Amphitheater to find out if we can or if we need a ticket for him. We have Lawn tickets already and we don't think we need a ticket for him but we should know before we drive down there. Any one ...

:( Guess I was just hoping. I don't hold out a lot of hope for tomorrow. Being the only true left coast date I expect it to sell out in minutes. I remember being aced out when I was online at 10:00 AM and there were two Irvine shows as well as a San Diego show. This should be infinetly worse. I gues...

Andouille and other Nawlins sausages

Many good Cajun recipes call for Andouille sausage. It is not easy to find here in So Cal. Does anyone know where I can find it here? or online? When I was in NO I also enjoyed another sausage that was soft and full of rice and pork or other stuff. Does anyone know the name of this sausage? It's lik...

While we are not against the smoking of the herb, we are not in favor of doing it at the venue. You have options, like at your tailgate. Once you are in the venue, you should not do something that might hurt others. I would put that in the same category as breaking some foul wind that might disperse...

West of the Mississippi tour?

If the rumored concert at Camden Yards takes place Sept. 18, there isn't a lot of time left for West Coast dates. Any ideas as to where Jimmy might play in late September/October? I am thinking Mt. View and one or two dates in Irvine. Probably a date in Vegas. Hopefully a date in San Diego. So, what...

As you may know, Tom is the author of the "Alex Rutledge" mystery series about a Key West photographer. He has also done cover photos for JB and mentions him in his books. I have all the series that are out now. I have looked on TC's web page and done web searches to find out when Alex Rut...

I would definitely go with our Mellenium show shirts. I got a short sleeve and the wife got a long sleave. It was perhaps the coldest Buffett show we have been to. Not what one might expect for SoCal. But, the show was well worth it.
