stay at the Southern Most Hotel. it is very nice and rates are under $200 which is rare for being right on Duval Street. It is an easy walk to the bars yet far enough removed from the noise at night. It is one block to the ocean and has an awesome tiki bar.

the older I get the more I hate the cold weather. We had about 8 inches of snow overnight and I spent an hour cursing the snow as I shoveled out my driveway. However, I am an avid skier so I do have a bit of a dilema. I just need to find a way to ski in 90 degree weather and I will be all set!!

visit the Chart Room...a tiny bar located inside the Pier House Resort. It is the bar where the pirate from "a pirate looks at 40" worked. Jimmy played there when he first arrived in KW and met his wife there.

from what I saw on the news the Keys survived pretty well. I checked the bar cam at Sloppies earlier today and everything appeared business as usual

not really sure where it came from. There is the "bubba" network in Key West which is basically a loose affiliation of locales. If you go down there it is common for the people who live and work there to refer to each other as "bubba"
