Re: DIRECTV Users need to request Radio Margaritaville Now!

Thanks for the information and the link. I'm a long-time DirecTV subscriber (and I've been with Sirius since they added RM). Sent my request. I agree, customer service there is great — once you get to real humans, and that's gotten better, too!

What ERJ and Wino said. Nice folks in the parking lot, and I thought the sound was much better than Tinley.

For those of you BN's who have nothing good to say about JB why do you waste your time here? I don't get it. Exactly. Seven pages, so far.... Obviously, from my post count, I lurk more than I post. But as someone else said, if you're over it, and don't still feel the call of Buffett (and I'm a pre-...

Re: Jimmy, if you're out there.....

You may not have built the house, but you laid the foundation for the rest of us to do what we will with it. For some, it is the music. For others, it is the locales. And for others, it is the dreams that easily come from this culture. Being a relative newbie to the scene, I for one, don't lay all ...

I'm a Mac user, and normally use Safari because I think it renders pages better than Firefox. However, sometimes had to use Firefox on a few sites Safari couldn't handle. More recently, I've found Safari handles *nearly* all sites fine — and Firefox looks a bit better. Also, really like the Firefox ...

Didn't the band get a break when Jake and Robert did Guitar Gently Weeps... Yes, you're right, they did leave the stage, but not for long.... And of course, they likely didn't have to stand in a long line for a bathroom visit or for refreshments..... But they were on stage much of the time. Loved s...

One of the best shows I've seen, and I've seen quite a few. Think it has something to do with being energized by a vacation — his, that is. Jimmy and the band were energized but relaxed and genuinely seemed to be having fun. They were right on with the music, obviously the rehearsals had gone well. ...

Seems to me the venues always so "no grills," but they're "reasonable" about it. I'd think the rule is written to limit liability. I've only had them say anything to me once in Tinley Park, and that was when the place was named for a bank.... Security guy came over quite a while ...

Lost my Internet on Thursday, so just learned this a.m. about the date.

Booked the Holiday Inn Express; Hampton had a some rooms, and so did the Hilton Garden Inn. (Stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last year in Boise — yes, really, Boise — and the beds are absolutely wonderful).

I agree with many of you who came before. I got Sirius because it had RM (and that was before I had broadband access, so really couldn't listen online). But I don't want it to be all JB, all the time. My player stays at Channel 31 not because they play a lot of Buffett, but because they play so many...

Maybe Todd Snider will play with Jimmy since he lives in Nashville. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRjbZrF01ik Or maybe Lyle Lovett since he's so COUNTRY!! [smilie=battingeyes.gif] http://www.youtube....

Wow, thanks for the link! Played the "Stars and Promises" CD just this morning for the family start to the holiday season, and there's a photo of Pete and Jim with it that seems to be from earlier days; I'm fairly sure it's Jim and Roger in the video. (Jim's changed more than Pete, I'd say...

Nobody will give you **** at Tinley for standing to see around the posts. Not even my 81-year-old parrothead mom, who is selective about standing up for the songs (she had both knees replaced five months ago, but did great in Orlando a couple of weeks ago). But yes, we'll be in the pavillion; have t...

Last year, the sweet little security guy told me they didn't allow grilling (as mine was heating up). But he said, "well, maybe the word didn't get out," and told us to be careful and put out our fire.... Might have helped that this was two nice little ladies, my mom, age 80, and me, age I...

My mom will be the 81-year-old at Tinley in August, for her fourth concert, but first real tailgate. She's ready for it. Took her the first time during her snowbird month in Florida four or five years ago. Each February she's wanted to know whether maybe he'll be performing while we're there, so we ...
