What I'd like to truly understand is why/how do these brokers get so many tickets before they go on sale to the general public? I know I can't change the system, but I really would like to know how this scenario came about? I wonder if this scenario is similiar to what is done for some movies/books...

I think we have to also look (sadly) at the fact that most music providers do NOT feel that Jimmy has a big enough draw to justify putting his name into the list of artists on one of these jukeboxes, so they don't want to pay him to do so. Part of the arrangement depends on the location of the bars ...

I had one real close friend when growing up.... After moving away I managed to see him once in 3 years. I had another real close friend that I haven't seen in 6 years. I'll probably "go out" but someplace close that has a simple cover and not too much for drinks (maybe a live band, etc.)

However I think next year I'll try the "Vegas" experience and see if it's worth doing again. (Been to Vegas many times, but NOT on NYE)
