OK, here is the latest: Jimmy has been informed, by telephone, that the book is waiting for him when he gets home. And, of course, once we hear anything further, we will absolutely let all of you know immediately! That's great Ellen! You girls did a great job on it and I'd hate to see it go to wast...

Speaking as someone who can "carry a tune" I have to admit that Jimmy has done a MUCH better job with his singing than earlier in his career.

Makes me wonder if the lawyer can even "carry a tune" .... (Most I know really can't ;) )

My first thought: Eww. I think a fiddle would be too much, but I suppose it would depend on the song/arrangement... So I went with "listen first, judge later" :) No offense, but everytime I think "fiddle" I think "Devil went down to Georgia".... but a friend of mine do...

I don't believe that "Who's the Blonde Stranger" is available on iTunes as a video...

Re: CIP-Evansville Grand Opening

Just got back from the grand opening of the Evansville, Indiana Cheeseburger in Paradise, and it was picture perfect... Despite very cold, rainy weather, the place was PACKED with happy, excited people. The "islanders" were all very happy and polite, the food was amazing, and the atmosphe...

Re: while in vegas......

......at m'ville and elsewhere, (the mall for instantce) i met a lot of interesting people from elsewhere who know nothing about ....BN ........ That's not really shocking, I also met a lot of "non-BN'ers" at the Tinley Park concert. (I have to say that the BN people I met were far nicer ...

I guess I'd probably say I'm about a 7, skip 8. I think ultimately I want to own all of the albums, but I'm buying them a little at a time. I started at Phase 2 (I basically bought SYKBH and initially didn't like the music. But once I bought BBBB I pretty much loved (or liked) every song on it (even...

The second best thing was that Mr Buffett said he has no intention of retiring anytime soon---just wants to fish and sail and do concerts. Damn, that eliminates at least 25 "THE END IS NEAR!!" BN threads over the winter and early spring... :P Wanna bet? And if he's not retiring ther...

I've only listened to it one time so far, but on the first time around, VERY easy to listen to and every song has a good beat and good lyrics.

(Of course after the next couple of times, I'll get a better idea of the technique of the album)

I just bought TTWWY on iTunes and there is no version of Here We Are at all. There is the video of PATEOTW which - since you can only get it if you buy the whole album - is used as an incentive. If anybody finds Here We Are - song or video - at iTunes, please post here. Maybe the song Here We Are i...

Here's one (sorry if I'm doing this "out of turn" )

Out on a shiny night
The rain was softly falling
The tracks that run by the boulevard
Had all been washed away

(Good luck on this one....)
