An acoustic tour would be pretty sweet, however I also agree that that would be pretty tough on JB. Mac's presence would probably make it easier, and a better show. I think the perfect situation would be a regular tour with acoustic dates mixed-in as a lead-in a few days before each new city. It wou...

I think that he is Rowlf!
I was never good at spelling and Sister Pat did a very good job of reminding me of that.

Re: Parking Disaster Avoided Here

I can tell you exactly why there was such a parking problem though. There was no organization to their parking system. You drove in and picked a spot. There were lines painted but people barely paid any attention to them. If an RV took up a spot and a half they didn't care. If you parked to far awa...

T-shirt stands were peppered throughout the concourses. Unfortunately, they tried to maximize thier locations, which resulted in little quantity and few sizes at each location. I had to walk for my tshirt, but I got it.

I've given this a lot of thought, and even replied, but now I realize this: Nearly all of his songs send chills up my spine. Whenever I listen I think about what he's achieved, what his life is like (traveling, surfing, just generally having fun) and I want that for myself. Now, I'm not going to try...

I've seen Nitrous tanks at a lot of shows in Camden, but I've never seen it at shows anywhere else (the Vet, CBP, and the Mann). I always thought it was the layout at Camden - however the cops in Camden are pretty good about trying to clean it up when they see it.

I think it's disappointing that such a non-phan could be at the show, when there were people who couldn't go.

Oh. OK. Here in Philly, One screen had major problems and the other showed it fine. Unfortunately I was in the problem theater and didn't find out that the other one had video too until half way through. That's why I'd love the video - to see what I missed.

I heard talk about a DVD release of Jimmy's reading of A Salty Piece of Land (the broadcast show from M'ville NO, last December that we were able to watch from movie theaters). Am I the only person that heard this?

I don't really care what other people think, however, I think what surprised me was how little this supposed "expert" really knew. I've lived in Philly nearly all of my life, so I suppose I should have expected it. My own brain fart for feeling otherwise.

I'm with ya, and I was before the article. Just about the only thing that I like to read in the Inqurier is the high school sports section. That's the only part they haven't messed up...YET.

Philadelphia Inquirer's review of 8/25

Did anyone read the review of Thursday's show in the Inquirer? It was written by Dan DeLuca, who had hardly a positive word to say. Since it was the first concert at CBP I would have thought that they (the Inquirer) would have taken it more seriously and sent a better writer to cover it. DeLuca spen...

There are a ton of lots there. The Eagles and the Linc were getting very wound up over parking. I didn't see a single empty spot in lot "K". Way too cramped. Did anybody experience anything like dead lots or total inability to find parking. I assume there was a higher potential for problem...

I don't know if anyone else found out about this year's shows - but I found out through RM, and it was such a tease. It seemed like the dates trickled out. I don't imagine next year to be any different. Side note: CBP was not worth $60 tickets. JB was, but CBP as a venue left some to be desired . I...

addition to my list: After reading "A Pirate Looks at Fifty" I've wanted to use that book as a menu of sorts for my next adventure. Jimmy describes Costa Rica so well that he's bumped it up a few spots on my list. And I'd be lying if I said that I haven't thought about taking to the skies ...
