By no means am I justifying the clerks actions, but can you imagine if a 'true PH' worked there? If it were me, I would talk to each fellow PH for hours about our shared obesession. Might not be good for sales. This is what I thought at first, then I realized that I would probably get sick of it af...

If I had to choose one, it would be "Mexico." In reality, I wish he would skip the popular covers all together and replace them with some of his earlier work. And while this opinion seems to go against the grain, I think his version of Southern Cross is awful. But, that is just how I feel...

I really liked that little taped message from the first time I saw it. You can tell JB means what he says, and the feelings seem to be mutual. It's incredible that in a money trench like the music business, two men can be friends for that long. Seems pretty special to me; it's hard enough to keep fr...

Agreed! I am a fan of "Glory Days" as well.

What I find disheartening is the fact so many people seem to feel everybody should think alike. One dissenting opinion and their panties get twisted. I don't agree with a lot of what Tiki Torches says, but I don't think anything he (or she) has said in this thread is out of line, he (or she) is jus...

What's so disheartening, that not every fan believes Buffett walks on water and that every book he writes will automatically be a best seller just because it has his name on it? We should spend our time trying to keep it a positive experience instead of trying to cause dissonance in the ranks. I ag...

All his other books were Best Sellers. Its a safe assumption this will be as well. It's never safe to "assume" anything. In business... assumptions are based on a track record.... like past book sales... So in this case, I believe it would be a safe assumption. So does the publisher. Buff...

And if you don't think Jimmy is some kind of role model, why do you hang around here? Just curious. I don't look at Jimmy Buffett (or any musician or celebrity for that matter) as some sort of "role model" yet I "hang around here". Is it some sort of prerequisite for being a Buf...

being an all-around role model for a lot of us. Role model? Not at all. Punctuality is the key to life. If you are never on time, how can anyone ever truly TRUST that person. And if you can't truly trust that person what makes them an "all-round role model" If you think punctuality is the...

Geeze, just be glad he's still touring, writing music, writing books, opening casinos, opening restaurant chains and being an all-around role model for a lot of us. I think sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees and forget how lucky we are he's not retired yet. So we have to wait a few more...
