Fingers Taylor in Chincoteague, VA

Hi
We saw Fingers in Chincoteague Thursday night. He was with Randy Lee Ashcraft who most of you never heard of. I enjoyed hearing him again. Pirate Looks at 40 finally sounded right again. The place was over the water so that was great too.

Hope he and Mr. Buffett overcome their differences.

There's an airport. You may not be man enough to fly into it. Before getting irritated you should see the airport. By the way, we've got a football team too.

Based on our experiences at Nissan, I'd say go to the lawn. From that far up, you can't see anyway. I assume they have the large monitors like Nissan. You'll be needing them anyway. Nicer people in the lawn anyway.

Wisconsin Badger phan Parrotheads

I see lots of posts from Wisconsin. I wondered if any of you are going to be in Morgantown, WV for the opening game on Labor Day Weekend?

I saw them

I saw the Beach Boys 5 or 6 years ago. It was after Carl Wilson died. It was the group with Mike Love. I didn't expect much but really had fun. They sounded great. I seem to recall they replaced Carl with 2 guys so even the high parts are still there. Even without Buffett, they and their music is wo...

Randy Wayne White

Try Randy Wayne White sometime. His books about Doc Ford are excellent. Tim Dorsey is a little off the wall for me.

Enhancing

Think I prefer the original. To each his own I suppose. Roxio Pro offers some options to do this. I use Cool Edit 2000 to do some things. RM doesn't need much help. Some of the older bootlegs need a lot.

Too Hot to Drink at Nissan

Obviously, that wasn't true. At least not entirely. The heat in the parking lot was worse than last year. Not officially, just my opinion. At some point, we put the 'ritas away and went to primarily water. Closest I''ve come to being sober at a Buffett concert. Many people just stayed under the shel...

Cool Edit

You can also remove parts of the file. Long dead spots in the broadcast or the long time before the encore. It will also let you remove hiss, etc if there is any.

Merriweather and Nissan

Hi
I would like to get a copy of the Merriweather and probably Nissan shows. MP3 or tracked into audio CDs is fine. I can work with either. I have several old and new ones to trade so make a request. Email or PM please.
Thanks

Hawaii

Already had one one. Ten days in Hawaii. We had dinner at Duke's where he put on the live beach show. The food was great. We also went to Mama's Fish House on Maui. Autographed picture there too.

Sound great, sometimes

They sound good and aren't hard to listen to at all. They pretty much screen out the audience noise. Some broadcasts are better than others. Some are prone to dropouts. All in all a wonderful thing. For quality, they will never compete with Feeding Frenzy or the other live CD's. Still hard for me to...

Careful if underage and no kegs

They have generally been unforgiving if you don't look 21. Keep it in cups, not bottles. We've seen them confiscate kegs. Don't know why because the cases of cans didn't seem to bother them.

Cool Edit 2000

I've always used Cooledit2000 from www.syntrillium.com. It isn't a freebie though. It works will convert formats, remove the excess parts from the recording and break it into tracks. I've also used to clean recordings from old vinyl to make them sound like (or similar) new before burning them to CD....
