Mike, we've done it both ways. The drive out to Orient Point LI and then taking the ferry from there is a nice way to go. You can see the farmland out on the island and stop at any of the roadside stands. The ferry ride is nice and not that long. This way you side step all the crap, congestion/traf...

I will post this on the ticket thread as well but I have a friend who was working on ticket day and missed out. She needs 4 seats in the covered section. If they are 2 and 2 (together) that's fine, doesn't need all 4 together.
