Um Larry, the three years that the Sox haven't won the World Series is the 3rd longest in team history. Well, when your first longest is 86 years, there's not too many years of organized baseball left. No, but I am just saying that anyone who says that the Red Sox only win a championship every 86 y...

Fans of a team that wins once every 86 years sure talk a lot of trash. The Mets may have gagged big time this year but they've still won more World Series in my lifetime than Boston. Um Larry, the three years that the Sox haven't won the World Series is the 3rd longest in team history. Well, when y...

"The Pantless Chaps Song"
Unfortunately for me, I just had a mental image of the video for that song. It would include Prince in a variation of his buttless pants.

Ick, I have to go throw up now.

I think that the first Indian type player of some native sounding sort (better?) should be honored before any other culture . . . if a culture needs to be honored, that is. But were they ever specifically prevented from playing in the major leagues? Blacks were, that's why Jackie Robinson is so sig...

I don't know how people can sit within 50 feet of that guy who constantly beats the drum. I know it's tradition, but I'd have him by the throat by the third inning. Can you imagine the fan walking up the aisle, checking his ticket, then finding out he's right in front of the guy with the drum...

OR it could be mandated that all playoff games be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. Or they could just hire strippers. Better yet, just replace the players with strippers. Not counting home plate, there are three bases. Most strip clubs I've been in, the girls dance three songs on stage, losing ...

I've read through the thread and a lot of what I have to say will be repetative, but just to throw in my $0.02. The Nobel Peace Prize has become the Nobel Political Prize. The selection committee uses it to either push their political agenda or tweak the US or other political administrations as it f...

As long as there is rampant speculation about Torre's future being posted here, let me throw in my wild idea. Torre isn't resigned by the Yankees when his contract is up. He tells everyone he is taking 2008 off to weigh his options, with everyone speculating he will go into broadcasting. At some poi...

They gotta change that late time-out rule. I've seen it twice in the NFL, once in college already. Maybe once they're in the set position, only players can signal a time-out in the last two minutes. I think after this year, the rule will be changed back to only players call a timeout. I think the i...

I would guess that they looked at the tickets available on known ticket broker sites (Empire, StubHub, etc.) and canceled or invalidated those tickets and then reprinted tickets for those seats and released them.

Braves, Falcons and Thrashers since they are my hometown teams. I'm not big into basketball so I left the Hawks off, but I will still pull for them when they play. If they aren't playing one of the above - Cardinals, Cubs and O's in baseball; Cowboys in football. On the NASCAR track it is all about ...
