Re: Who's going to the Frisco Feeding Frenzy IV (updated 3/4)

Can't speak for ABQKeet, but I'm not going to make the trip to Frisco this year. I'll miss seeing all of you, but it's just not in the cards. The cookbook will have to be my contribution this time around. [smilie=battingeyes.gif] The newspaper's computer/technical guru is going to use my reviewer t...

Re: A Question for Longtime Parrotheads

To answer the basic question did I underappreciate a former album at first??? I guess YES I did. I remember buying Beach House on the Moon and didn't open the CD for a good year. I heard a cut or two...wasn't blown away at first and didn't think about it thereafter. I'm very glad I went back and op...

A Question for Longtime Parrotheads

There are certain benefits to being a relative newcomer to Buffetology and Parrotheadism. Just for starters, I am able to view the past 4 decades of Jimmy Buffett's career as a series of historical events. How cool is that? To a great degree I am able to have the best of both worlds - being able to ...

Re: best place to see jimmy?

where is the best place to go see jimmy in concert? I've seen Jimmy 4 times now. Twice in outdoor amphitheaters, once inside a baseball stadium with the roof closed (Minutemaid Park) and once in an open-air soccer stadium. The best sounding shows were in the outdoor amphitheaters. (Dallas Fairgroun...

Re: Interesting Letter from Jimmy to Biographer Steve Eng

Here is Steve Eng's response letter to Jimmy 20 October 1994 Dear Jimmy, Thanks for the letter postmarked September 19, from Long Island, in the Key West envelope (and for asking mc to respond). My wife read it to me over the phone when I was in Mobile. Please note my new address and phone. Since yo...

Interesting Letter from Jimmy to Biographer Steve Eng

I came across a really cool book recently called Jimmy Buffett: The Man from Margaritaville Revealed . It's by Steve Eng, a Nashville author who has also written biographies about a few other music artists. The preface of the book is titled, Some People Claim That There’s a Biographer to Blame , and...

Re: Landshark Fins Are Everywhere!!

Landshark has done one HELL of a job getting their name out there. I just ate at a nice bar and grill here in Beaumont, and outside on the sidewalk, there is a chalkboard easel that is branded with Landshark, telling me the special of the day, etc. The salt and pepper holders on every table is Lands...

Hanging in the pool with MrsTwain and friends, drinking cold beers, talking, and listening to Trop Rock music. I'm serious.

For every hour that my kids log in the pool, Diane and I spend three or four.
