When the Israelis bombed Saddam's nuke plant in 198? the neighboring states pitched a fit, but don't you know the Iranians secretly breathed a sigh of relief. (Guess where the first nuke might have landed.) It is disturbing when you hear about these war plans being approved, but we have already done...

Re: Cranberry Vodka
I just landed a bottle. Got a good recipe? On ice?? Why ruin a good thing.. :D    Great philosophy! Why mess with simple Vodka? (Like what we call a Grey Goose Martini!) I was looking for something that would be more of a chick-drink. RWM might be closer to the mark with his idea. (I...

BBC and The Guardian are both fine with me, but I don't think too many folks would say they balance out the B iased L eft W ing M edia. :nudge: :nudge:   Salon might be interesting for analysis and opinion, but for straight-up news they're a little thin. Again, pretty far leftie for som...

Choosing Your News
I rely on the major newspapers (NYT, WPost, CSMonitor, etc.) and CNN for most of my national news. I also pay attention to FoxNews, for balance. I don't necessarily believe that the first sources are biased, or that Fox is more unbiased, but I enjoy the mix. Does anybody have any other sources of &q...

Timothy B performed the song at several of the concerts when he was a Reefer in the early to mid '80s. He had short hair then, too. I don't remember what Jimmy was doing or if he was even on stage - may have been backstage hanging out, or something else. Hey Josh Leo here-hope you don't mind, but w...

AAA might be able supply the toll amounts for the route you provided. (PM me if nobody around you has AAA membership) The good news is that there's a new toll expressway from Chesapeake VA to the NC line that now accepts EZPass! Put that pedal down and give 'em hell! (observing all local laws, of co...

The proponents of sustaining Ms. Schiavo generally base their beliefs on one or more of the following arguments (in descending order of moral imperative) : - Any form of euthanasia is wrong (regardless of PJP2's quote). - This form of euthanasia, starvation, is wrong. -The motives of the husband are...
