Re: so you want to stop cheatin' in College sports??

Maybe we should stop calling them student athletes and just pay them 2x the schools tuition, the player would then have the option to pay for classes and make 1x for the season.

Re: not allowing hats in Congress "sexist"

Waaaaaaay more energy and time (exponentially) will be spent ridiculing this than the minimal amount of time, effort she will expend with her proposal. Silly? Perhaps. Poor judgment on her part. Yup, particularly the timing. But not worth the effort to get all riled up about. It's just going to bec...

Yum! Let us know how the apple/pear one works out. And if you have a Wegmans, look in the international section. They have some really great items and you could get divine inspiration. :D I like the international section at wegmans a lot. Unfortunately, unless you are familiar with the brands, you ...

Guava!! I think you hit it with that. I think the berries would be too overpowering. anyhow, the phyllo is to have butter and parmesan between the layers. mmmmmm press into a mini-muffin tin. place a 1/2" cube of the gouda and a small scoop of the jelly bake until the jelly is bubbly and the ph...

How about a red bell pepper jelly? I looked for a red bell pepper jelly, even the ones at wegmens that were had jalapenos in them. It's an appetizer. Working out the Thanksgiving menu. I achieved the coup and the MIL will not be doing the dinner this year. I'll be hosting over 30. Maybe I'll try ex...

Ingredient substitution help.

I found an interesting recipe Phyllo Parmesan Red Pepper Jelly Parsley Gouda Cheese Almonds Unfortunately, the red pepper jelly won't work with my audience because of the hot pepper being used in the jelly. I need to substitute the jelly. Any good ideas? I'm not much into jellies, think quince might...

I just finished this. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_gIaS86VGe1w/SQkS6hpZsPI/AAAAAAAAA6s/L6sxB0xdfMw/s320/Escape+from+Slavery+cover.jpg It is an amazing story of survival. Tough read through the first third, (only because it is really depressing to read about a seven year old being taken as a slave and h...

Europe flipped last weekend. I think they are a week off of us in the spring also. I vaguely remember times being screwed up on some of the euro sites I frequent in the spring as they were this week.

Of course I also watched the standard fare and enjoyed it MASH Happy Days Alice One Day at a Time Mork Kotter All in the Family This is embarrassing to admit, but I wasn't allowed to watch the following Jeffersons S...

Apparently after you place your order you are offered an opportunity to save $15 off your next order. If you accept, this is when you "join" the easy/lucky savers club, and don't just expect Oriental Trading company to do this. It's a sneaky way for lots of places to get you to join an on...

all Verizon Communications landline, FiOS, and DSL customers will have to pay a $3.50 fee if they pay their bills by credit or debit card. I understand that they are trying to recoup some of their expenses here, but isn't this type of fee contrary to the CC agreements and some state laws? I remembe...

Re: Opinions for new washer/dryer!!

This is where things get tricky. Make sure each store has the E-X-A-C-T same model number when comparing prices. Each store most likely has a slightly different model # with some feature/option missing /added. Typically they do this so they can laugh at you when you bring in an add and ask them to h...
