I'm a former resident of the Aloha State. I lived there from 1978-1988, and went to my first Jimmy Buffett concert there in 1987. I still go back there for a visit once a year-usually the first or second week of February, when the N.F.L. Pro Bowl is played-and stay with friends. A lot of good things...

The only one I have is the one with the song "Captain Jim's Drunken Dream." ("In the Pocket")?
I bought it only for "Captain Jim", but ended up liking ALL of the songs on the C.D.
I'll definately be buying more in the coming weeks.

Remember when saying "MERRY CHRISTMAS" didn't offend anyone?
And remember when those two weeks off from school in December were called CHRISTMAS VACATION, and not "WINTER BREAK"?

I've always considered Down to Earth and High Cumberland Jubilee to be "practice albums" and not really Jimmy Buffett as we know him. Yikes. Those are my 2 favorites. :o Okay, okay! I CONFESS. I bought "Before the Beach" when I saw it on sale at Best Buy about a year ago.

He stated as his career was starting that his main influences were Gordon Lightfoot, The Neville Brothers, and Joni Mitchell.

I've also heard him say in a recent TV interview that of all the songs HE'S recorded, "12 Volt Man" is his favorite.
