When I hear the words nerd and geek, I think of the main characters from "Revenge of the Nerds". Very smart but very socially inept. When I hear the work dork, I think of the Anthony Michael Halls friend in 16 Candles. You know the ones, the guys he goes to see the night when he has the ho...

He's right. Oh, I don't doubt it. I spent alot of time in Bermuda on business and I never noticed. As I thi...

Anyone watch the late Monday night game (49ers/Cardinals) on the NFL network? At some point in the last 10 minutes of the game, they showed some stat for the 49ers and on the screen, they showed this: San Francisco 48ers <some random stat> I had to rewind the game, twice, to make sure I wasn't seein...

Re: Washington DC

Planning a brief trip to DC this fall. Do you know what specific week/weekend you will be coming down? Depending on when you come down, there may be some festival or something like that going on. For example, if you are down over the weekend of the Oct 27, you can see the Marine Corp Marathon on Su...

Hell of a situation we got here. Two on, two out, your team down a run and you've got the chance to be the hero on national television... if you don't blow it. Saw your wife last night. Great little dancer. That guy she was with? I'm sure he's a close personal friend, but tell me, what was he doing...

France, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Sweden...I guess any place in Europe except England/Scotland (already been there alot). New Zealand would be cool too. I have no desire to go to any place in South America, Africa or Asia. I'm not sure why, it just doesn't appeal to me even thoug...

Re: Burning Man gets "Burnt" . . .

This is NOT GOOD. In an act that I can only describe as despicable, the Burning Man Festival's Burning Man got burnt early by one of the festival participants. I myself felt an odd resonance in "The Force", almost as if a hundred thousand voices cried out at once and were suddenly silence...

One slob I work with asked me once if Jimmy Buffett was g.ay. I said "Yeah, sure-he jerks off all the way to the bank. What's YOUR claim to fame, fat boy?" He shut up real quick. (Before he went LITERALLY crying to my boss). One thing I neglected to mention-that same north end of a ...
