Re: NFL 2012 Season

Yeah, these Wednesdays game sort of sneak up on you. I don't even remember seeing a BN FF league.

Nonetheless, go Redskins!

While I'm semi-optimistic about the season, I think the O line isn't where it needs to be and will be the downfall of the offense.

Well, in FH9 is in, then it is a definite that Jimmy will not be playing Nautical Wheelers.

I am probably in also. I need to get a ticket also.

Ah crap. I've got something foing on that night. I actually don't even know if I'll be in town. So, I'll be there in spirit since I physically can't be in two or three places at once.

Re: Leaving a "stable" job

Keeping my fingers crossed for you! And I did a 45-60 minute commute for 10 years. I actually miss the commute. It gave me lots of time to decompress. I've had commutes (one-way) of 90 minutes and commutes of 5 minutes. Having a commute of 30 min or so does give you time to decompress. BUT, if your...

Fans of the rock band the Who were surprised when NBC last night cut its broadcast of the closing ceremony of the London Olympics short and instead broadcast an episode of its new show “Animal Practice.” The Who’s performance was bumped until after “Animal Practice.” http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/...

I work for HP in the Enterprise Services group as an engineer (IT stuff). My current project is for the US government. and if you tell us what the project is you'd probably have to kill us, right  Ha. No. It could be moderately interesting to a very select few and I don't want to bore people ...

I'll watch the track & field and probably some of the basketball. I'm not too interested in most of the rest of the stuff. What about women's beach volleyball? They actually changed the dress for that. They are not wearing bikinis in deference to some countries religious/modesty beliefs. They a...

While I know this probably pales in comparison to what he has done in the past 30 years, I've got to think getting signed to his first record deal would be up there for him. I mean, without that, he might never have gotten famous and we'd all be on this thread: http://buffettnews.com/forum/viewtopic...

Re: Woman tries to ride her scooter up an escalator w/ video

My favorite line from the article: "She managed to walk away from the incident" Sort of makes you wonder, why was she using a scooter? Of course, I'm sure there is a reason for it; maybe she just had foot surgery and it in rehab or injuried her leg, etc. But, that line, and the fact she wa...
