Re: What happened to this place?
People tend to romanticize things, the "old BN" is a prime example. Even after I was banned by phjim under my Jahfin account, there were no shortage of conflicts and disagreements here. Those aspects are always going to be part of any online community, no matter what. The "old BN&quo...

Re: Pillows
First world problems. But E and I went out of town this weekend, and they had 6 feather pillows on the king sized bed. Hated them. Mushed down into a flat mess, and they didn't stay in place. What do you prefer? These type of contour pillows. I have tended to get a crick in my neck from using...

Re: Fish "Sandwich"
I had no idea someone would completely misconstrue what was a very innocent recommendation on my part and proceed to turn a molehill into a mountain. And you also often turn people's innocent posts and proceed to turn the molehill into a mountain. Many posts here are misconstrued. That's why critic...

Re: Fish "Sandwich"
It never even crossed my mind. I thought it was self-explanatory that I bolded my choice as a recommendation. By the way, it's spelled "tartar". ;) But why DIDN'T it cross your mind? To me? All your post did was to make Rabbitz look like he didn't know how to spell tartar. There are just ...

Re: Fish "Sandwich"
I haven't told anyone to do research. I figured the spelling was unique to where Rabbitz is presently located (Australia) but took the time to look it up in order to confirm. It took me less than 30 seconds to do so. You could have simply posted the picture of the Tarter Sauce jar, and left it at t...

Re: Fish "Sandwich"
Not the case at all. A little bit of research quickly reveals that tartar is spelled "tartare" in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Well it may not be the case to you, but that's the way it sounded to ME. And please stop telling people to do research. I already knew this, I'm telling you...

Re: Fish "Sandwich"
I commented because I was recommending tartar, which is why I bolded it. I wasn't trying to point out a misspelling, I was merely saying how we spell it here. Tartar is spelled "tartare" in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. And I'm here to tell you it didn't sound like what you were reco...

Re: Fish "Sandwich"
Where did I say you were insulting? I just felt it wasn't a necessary comment on your part. We all knew what Rabbitz meant. Some misspellings are overlooked when communicating with those from other countries. I commented because I was recommending tartar, which is why I bolded it. I wasn't trying t...

Re: Who's going to JLL on August 16?
How was everyone's 4th of july Very nice, thank you very much. After the storm, everything has cooled off considerably. So much so that it felt very fall-like today. That's right, the hurricane came up your direction. Was there much if any damage? It's stayed mostly out at sea didn't it ? LIPH said...

Re: Fish "Sandwich"
My question is, what sauce if any? Mayo? Tartare? * Chipotle Aoili? Peri-Peri? A classic 70's cocktail sauce? *Or as we spell it in the U.S., "tartar". Stoppit, Jonathan. Please. There was no need for that. For stating how tartar is spelled in the U.S.? There was nothing insulting at all ...

Stop being pompous. You are entitled to you opinion but stop assuming that yours is the only right opinion. I never have been "pompous", nor have I ever assumed that my opinion is the "right" one, sure have been accused of it though. My advice to you is to do as some others have...

Not in the least. Besides, being told you're a "unicorns and rainbow type person" shouldn't be taken as insult, nor was it meant as one. It's just an observation I've made due to our conversations.FinsUp6835 wrote:I feel bad for you. Your just a mean person.

Re: What happened to this place?
Amen. Applauding Doesn't surprise me in the least as you've always struck me as a "rainbows and unicorns" type. It's certainly more fun to be around an optimist than a pessimist. Then again I like to live my life rather than wish for a different one so I guess I also qualify for rainbows ...
