We really like the Souternmost Hotel. Great loction at the Atlantic Ocean end of Duval Street. They have their own beach with a beach bar/restaurant. 10 min. walk to all the action.

We are staying near Playa De Carmen this easter (50 mi. south of Cancun). I called the hotel and have been checking out reviews on tripadvisor.com. It sounds like the area north of Playa De Carmen (including Cancun) were fine. Check out the website. It is a great travel tool.
