Re: Jimmy's son Cameron

Lot's of opinions here. Just to add one. Before retirement I worked for the government. Most of the people in my command were engineers and technicians who traveled 40% - 50% of the time - the nature of the beast. Many of those traveled to places where they were in harms way, and I'm talking about ...

Just read in the Keys News that Tom Corcoran's new book is due out next week. Yay, about time. Will pick it up when I'm in Key West and read it on the beach. :wench:

Re: Older new fan

Welcome Ricky. So sorry for your loss but I hope that Jimmy has and we can make your load a little lighter. Jimmy's songs have always been my way of relaxing and revving up, depending on what I play. I recently turned 60 and have been a Bubba fan since 1971. His music helped me through my divorce in...

That sign shop was one of my favorite browsing places on Duval. There and the art co-op. Glad no one was injured.

Re: To Honour My Texan Friends!

Okay, here's my Texas story. My dad was born and raised in Texas--Wichita Falls to be exact. He was a tall, handsome, charming Texas boy who ended up in Akron, Ohio. (Details upon request). He married my mom and died the day I was born, passing out cigars to celebrate my birth. Very long and involve...

Re: Animal in Wall

yeah, and your tag line about the raccoons--they can be very unwanted guests too. I just keep trying to remember, we've taken over a lot of wildlives (is that a word???) territory. Try to co-exist, but please leave my attic insulation alone. hehehe.

Re: Animal in Wall

If you live in the cold, cold north, it could also be a squirrel. We've had lots of problems with squirrels in the roof (not like bats in the belfrey, but close). Good luck. Wish I had answers that didn't include exterminators and big bucks. :wench:

Sail on PH. He was always a little too conservative for me, but did truly enjoy his "The Rest of the Story" segments. Learned quite a bit from those. I hope he had a wonderful life and a very peaceful passing. May his loved ones take comfort in his memory.

Re: California Coast trip

While a harley sounds great, I'm scared to death of riding on a motorcycle. My father was killed on one the day I was born--have ridden one once with my son-in-law, just so I won't die without saying I've ridden a Harley. I may well, however, spring for a convertible rental car. I don't ever want to...
