We've got tickets to Chicago (we'll go to both shows) and Indy Jul 8. Wish I had Detroit to look forward to too.

I wouldn't do Chicago in any section other than 102, 103, or 104. The place is too big and the sound quality is bad in the 200 sections. You might as well upgrade to the lawn. I agree. We stayed there a couple years ago. There will be phans there. It's a good location, if you can't get closer. It's a short drive on back roads, so you won't get stuck in traffic.

There is ususally no hold on the tickets, but remember your time zone. If they go on sale at 10am in Chicago, it's 11am in Detroit.
