I like fries dipped into a milkshake too. This is the only craving I had during pregnancy. Yep it's the salty sweet thing. And things like cake and cookies and brownies and such can sit in my house for days and I'll never touch them.

Ah ragtop, a man after my own heart. He must like the salty/sweet combos. I also dip pretzels in my ice cream.

shift work

Anybody ever done it. The other half just took a job on the 3-11 pm shift. After several layoffs and taking jobs for less pay/benefits he grabbed it when his union guy offered it. But I am thinking it might completely alter our lives. If he doesn't like it the union can get him something else in the...

if you open a can of fruit cocktail you will notice that there are more cherries in there now. They even sell cans that have extra cherries. When we were kids my siblings and I used to fight over the cherries in the fruit cocktail. It's so not fair that kids today can have all they want.

Pineapple

is like food from the Gods. In a house with two 17yo sons I rarely get fresh pineapple when I buy it unless I'm here when it's cut, but yum. When I used to watch surviver I could never understand the whining. I would love to live on a diet of fresh pineapple, mangos, coconut, fish, and some rice. Al...

I'm hoping to pick up a small sail boat this spring. We just started looking. I also have to find somebody to teach me how to sail as all i've ever operated is a motor boat. But I've always wanted a sail boat. Kids are bummed as they were pulling for a motor boat that they could water ski with.

The beaches are very nice in the Avon/Frisco area. By less built up I mean it's pretty much geared to surfers and fishing. When I'm there i'm with a bunch of teens so I don't go looking for bars, but the bars that are there look very basic, old man bars. It might be a bit better out on Ocracoke. I a...

I don't usually assume fans are wannabe stalkers. Just picture though if his address showed up on these boards and 1000 of his biggest fans cruised by his house hoping to see him whenever they were in town. He'd never get any rest.

I second the Avon post. We stay in Frisco. Avon, Frisco, and Buxton all run together. We love it there. But be aware that if you don't like the beach, fishing, seafood restaurants, and just doing nothing you might be bored there. There is one miniature golf place and a go-cart place and that's about...

doxadive, you are definitely right. I just did a summer job at the golf course. I would love a real job in his organization. He's found a way to pursue the American dream without giving up the things that matter to him along the way. Work Hard Play Hard.

Next time I go to Voltaco's
Yep, it'll be spring soon. My sons always go there right after they open for a buffalo chicken cheese steak. The owner does a fundraiser for us for the hs spring track team. A lasagna dinner. It's never tough to sell those tickets.
