I'm a big ska fan. Bosstones, Specials, Skatalites, Less then Jake, Reel Big Fish. There are some Reggae bands that have a ska feel to them, as you've seen there is a relation between the two. I think Sublime sometimes has a ska feel, as are the survivors in LBD Allstars. Think reggae with a punkish...

OBX help, and wish me luck but don't call me crazy
On Thurs. we're off on our annual surf trip. This is when I take my 2 16yo sons, 10 of their best friends, a pair of 24yo guys and head from NJ to Frisco NC. Is anybody from their who can give me an idea on weather, and ocean temp? I will be going to Ocracoke for a day by myself, so any tips on thin...

I have 16yo twin sons and a 19yo dd, two of whom hate Buffett and one who will tolerate him. So what happens when you get older is you get independent free thinking kids who don't like your music. And you have to compromise with them, and give them their music time too. Unless you want to be a jerk ...

Where to begin... And why is that? Because YOU don't like them? Like them or not, the Grateful Dead are icons of American music. And so for a time was David Cassidy. Nope, I don't see the dead as belonging on this list. Not U2, nor the Velvet Underground, or Sly. I don't particularly care for Pink F...

We've stayed here. http://www.midgettrealty.com/book/house.html?PMSID=FQ250 Very reasonable, maxes out at 1450. Comfy, lots of beds, nice kitchen. You can see the ocean from your deck and your right across a little street from the beach. Not deluxe, no pool or jacuzzi but great location. Frisco is q...

Frisco and Hateras are pretty reasonable, as are Avon and Buxton. And in these towns no matter where you are you're never far from the beach and bay. Go to Midgett and do a search. Enter the town you want to stay in and your weeks. Start with 1lot back then try oceanside. We took a very inexpensive ...

We go every Easter. We stay in Frisco/Avon/Hatteras/Buxton area. My sons are surfers and they surf by the light house. At the tip here there is not alot else to do but the beach, and some seafood restaurants. Also you can take the ferry to Ocracoke. We like it though. I book thru Midgettrealty.com T...

The Murder Room, P.D.James I too read all of PD James' books. Anything mystery, but they usually need to be ones that make you think a bit. Other good mystery authors, Martha Grimes, Elizabeth George, Elizabeth Peters, Colin Dexter. I loved Dan Brown's books. If you want to make your head spin go t...

Um, sure Bob. You know I'm quite a catch too. A middle aged overweight woman on welfare with 6 kids and 4 dads. I like to wear tank tops with my bra straps falling off and cut-off shorts that ride up. Ya know, I wonder if your mom would mind if me and the kids came to stay with her for awhile in her...

Have you seen the footage. It was played over and over this morning. Nasty, but not much different then i've seen before during hockey games. I'm sure he didn't meant to do anywhere near that kind of damage. I think whatever the NHL decides, backed up by a civil suit brought by the injured players f...

Um.. SpeedoBob, i'm wondering if you are my neighbor. He is an overweight balding man. But he likes to wear a hawaian shirt, slightly small, unbuttoned over his speedo. And I am assuming because he worried that his bald spot will get burnt, he tops it off with a cowboy hat. Since I have a teenage da...
