Actually, it took me months to make that list. I did it for my dad, actually. I have a lot of goofy es eighch eye tee on my computer and some of it is a silly album rating list for Jimmy Buffett, wish lists for making CDs, etc... among other things. So really it took me only ten seconds or so to get...

Album Ratings
This is how I rate them all. No comments, just asteriks for stars. Biggest Bestest Album
Ha ha. If you look at sales figures - I'm not exact on this now but I think this is accurate - Fruitcakes is his biggest selling studio album, followed by CILCIA (which I find hard to believe considering that it sold over a million in 1977 - my bad - that's how many copies were shipped out, not sold...

That's the second time it's happened - that I replied twice to the same thing. I dunno how it happens.

Far Side Edit Version
I have the Fruitcakes 2 track promo. What's the edit like on the Far Side Of The World promo? Is it a good edit? I'm curious to hear it. The Southern Cross promo and Island Fever promo - WHERE did you find those?

BBBB 2
Actually a new box set would be better - 4 new names for each album. All the goodies from Marg. Cafe through LTC plus "Trouble On The Horizon" and "Caribbean Amphibian" and whatever unreleased tracks (Beer And Plutonium, etc...)

Number Of Albums Recorded
26 original albums. That includes LTC. Yet Jimmy always says 30 something albums. What really counts? Studio albums or studio, live and compilation albums? Let the opinions roll!

Unreleased Studio Tracks
I've heard Abandoned On Tuesday on radiomarg but not the other early tune (I forget what it's called). I have a bootleg with Please Take Your Drunken Fifteen Year Old Girl Friend Home. Does anyone have anything else (Train To Dixie or whatever else)? Where do I find them? With the extra tracks on BB...

I've always heard him play it since I've been seeing him live and that's been since the Coconut Telegraph tour. I do like how it's evolved though - from the cocaine fueled boogie rockin' dropped case of beer version on YHTBThere to the mellowed out and slowed down Feeding Frenzy to the mariachi Salt...

Lower 48 And The Midwest
Okay, I know what it means when people say 'The lower 48' but come on! Where is the Upper 48? Isn't it time to get over such stupid sayings? When the magnetic poles flip, North America will be "down under". Right? Another one is the Midwest! How can Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, ...

Down To Earth
Jimmy's first album (a CD is still called an album or a record, by the way) Down To Earth is a great listen. Varese Vintage rereleased it (courtesy of Barnaby Records) with one extra song - Richard Frost. You should be able to find it (and High Cumberland Jubilee, his second record) at Tower Records...

Mini-Packaging
I was going to ask about any easter eggs but see that everyone else has found what I found. Anyone get their DVD in a jewel case? I found one in a jewel case instead of the big stupid DVD cases. And, ha ha, it was a dollar cheaper than the big dumb DVD case release. In fact, I also found U2 Go Home ...

Calaloo EP
I see it all the time at Magic Bus in New Orleans - still in the rapper! The beauty of it is Island Fever - one of his best tunes in eons. Cheeseburger again? Give me a break! What compilation is it not on? If ya don't wanna pick up Don't Stop The Carnival - which I wasn't so sure about at first whe...

A CD Is Still An LP
I love reading things that are wrong. Like when people say He's got a new CD out. That is correct in one aspect, but in the recording world, a CD is still an LP. LP stands for Long Player. An LP is also an album - a collection of songs/tracks. A CD is an album as it is a record - vinyl records are j...

Re: 18 Hollah!
Barnes And Noble. BOOOO...megachain...BOOOOO!!!! HEY! I didn't feel like waiting to go in to New Orleans and get it at Tower or Virgin or Margaritaville. And I wasn't about to drive all over 'God's Country' to go to Best Buy. I don't care where I get any CD, actually, as long as I get what I want. ...

I'm not realy familiar with Mandeville/Covington yet so I went to where I knew I could find it. You ready for ...

Copying A LTC
'Copying' a CD is STEALING? Since when? How is it any different than making a cassette (or DAT) of songs from either vinyl or CD? How many people didn't make cassette mixes etc... in the past? Isn't that stealing? When I get stuck paying EIGHTEEN dollars for a record and a blank CD costs the equival...

First Buffett Album
The first one I ever heard and listened to on a regular basis was You Had To Be There. I was eight or nine years old when it came out and it taught me how to swear! I remember going to the record store with my dad sometimes and buying the new albums when they came out (we really were shocked when we...

MCA Non-Reissues
Heh heh - I'm the one that said MCA will NEVER re-anything with Jimmy's albums! I have no proof of that, it's just my view on it based on several other bands on labels that have had their entire catalog revamped (The Rolling Stones, for one, have had every album, with exception to their own Rolling ...
