Hey, if 60 is the new 40 then that puts me in my early 20's. That works for me.

Isn't 60 the new 40?!?!? That's what I thought I heard too... Jimmy certainly behaves like he's still 40! Oh, and all the Tom Petty tickets I bought this year were $95 for the good seats, not $115. All the Tom Petty tickets? How many times have you seen him this year. I've seen him once so far, and...

Yes, 60 is supposed to be the new 40, and in Jimmy's case, that is so true.

I have accepted Jimmy as my lord and personal savior  Congratulations my son! May your heart be filled with joy. Now, go in peace and spread the gospil of Buffett throughout the land. Oh my, I think I have had too much cough medicine. Can smoke what you're smoking?   Sure, if y...

i have no problem with him using a teleprompter its better than completely fumbling through the lyrics and being caught by the fans. with the amount of material he has im surprised its taken him this long to actually use one. he started using it on 06 tour. alot of bands are using one after 2 or 3 ...

Pros--Buffett's music came along for me when I needed it the most. Cons--I wish I would have payed attention to this music sooner. Another pro is that Jimmy's music has such a nice effect on my guide dog. Last night I was sitting in my recliner listening to CILCIA. Sammie is a little golden retrieve...

I totally agree with the above pros and cons. Welcome to life! Regarding teleprompters, it's not an uncommon thing at shows. If it is not a teleprompter, it is lyric sheets taped to the stage at the artist's feet. For example, Tom Petty has lyric sheets taped to the stage. I'd rather have an artist ...

Very well said SoILPrtHed. I've been a parrothead for a little over a year, and this summer was my first summer going to shows. It's all about taking time out free from responsibility, and it is about digressing in age even if it is for just a little while to have some fun. For me, when the show is ...

http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/basic/popcorn.gif We're probably all going to hell for even posting in this thread. Well if we do end up in hell there will be enough of us for a tailgate and enough fire to go around for a never ending bbq. Hey, springparrot, pass me the butter and cheese please!

Was it just me, or did anyone have a hard time following that article? It was just badly written, jabs at JB aside. It was just really disjointed, and forced. As if, because she brought up the beach, she had to mention Buffett. Nah, it was not just you! It was just a case of someone who had nothing...

Nah, there is nothing wrong with you. I sure don't want to hit stage 8, and if I ever do, I hope I will be there for only a few minutes.

Hey, once we make a vote in a pole is that our only vote, or can we change it after a certain period of time?

Originally I put myself at stage 6. However, I wish I could change my vote, because the more I read stage 9 that fits me better. I've been a Buffett fan for a little over a year, and I went from 0 to 60 really quick.

My first show was on June 10, 2008 at DTE, but it will always be Pine Knob to me. It is a very special show to me not only because it was my first show, but because I took a gamble and left my comfort zone by going to this show with people whom I had not yet met. I joined a PHC earlier this year, bu...

I want to make this clear: When I saw Jimmy all those years ago, he was doing his own songs and very few covers. Sometimes no covers from what I could tell. That did not detract from anything. It was fantastic. Over the years he did SOME covers but nothing like he is doing now. He didn't do BEG eve...

Again, people either love or hate the covers, but as far as this parrothead is concerned, Jimmy can continue to do whatever covers he wants. I will never get tired of hearing him do Southern Cross. A friend of mine went with me to the first Chicago show. She had never seen JB, and her knowledge of ...
