I am simply fascinated by Southern mannerisms! :D :D My family grew up in Iowa and it was farm food. It was bacon, fried potatoes, fried chicken. All the bad :D stuff. But it was simply "grub". And I'll bet that black-eyed, crowder and field peas were fed to the hogs. And I'll bet you did...

Most of our mothers made their own mayonnaise. And, you NEV-ah serve dark meat chicken to your guests. . . white me...

I just saw Leon 2 weeks ago. Tina Rose can wail, for sure. I loved the venue. . . loved the set. . . and Leon was in good form/voice. He might not be a huge star, but he's written some great songs and he's still out there, performing a LOT of shows this year, according to the dates listed on his web...

I love my new job.

I love my husband more every day.

It's been a mild summer here in the right corner of Texas.

My dog thinks I'm phabulous.

Jimmy's still touring.

Life is very good.

I didn't like the pairing at first. But, over the last 3 weeks, it's grown on me, and I like it a lot. Took some listening to, but I really like it. JB's voice is a little grizzled. NG's is worn, too. A good fit on the cut.
