Dadgum. I completely forgot about Charley's in Paia. It's owned by Willie Nelson.

You have to drive a bit, but you can go past Paia a ways, watch the surfers and the sunset and then go back to Charley's. The locals told us that Willie shows up there now and again.

Oh. I forgot. The locals told us there was a great bar called Hoppa's (I think) ... off Kihei Road where they hung out. We never made it there, but everyone mentioned it.

I love the Whale's Tale in Lahaina. Erik (thewhaleshark) appears there...check out his website for dates. There's a Lu Lu's in Kihei, but it's not associated with the Buffett family. Upstairs. Next to the grocery store. The CIP in Lahaina is also NOT one of Jimmy's, as he mentioned at the Maui show!...

I don't think I could ever afford to LIVE in Hawaii (Maui) unless I win the lottery --- it's sooo expensive....and not just real estate. Even the local grocery stores will send you into sticker shock....$5.00 for a box of Kleen-ex. $45.00 to fill up the mid-sized car.

I will be purchasing this one for sure. I was lucky enough to see both shows. They were fabulous. *Sigh* wow thats great Jimmy was so "on" both nights. He seemed more laid back in Maui, as there were no "special" guests and the stage was just a big flat bed trailer-like thingee ...

BTW: When I saw this thread, I read LIVE (like RESIDE) in Hawaii....and I was soo there!!!!
