Maybe not the best set list ever but close! I was at the concert and it did start a little rough. The Little Feat beginning had everyone looking at each other and shrugging their shoulders and then "Off to See the Lizard" also had many in the crowd scratching their heads. Jimmy was right w...

Actually, the listing is on the Club Trini web site. Under future appearances for Club Trini, many of JB's concert venues are cited ... which leads one to believe that Club Trini intends to play beforehand.

I've talked with and shaken hands with Mac McAnally and Captain Tony, which give me one degree of separation. I've also met Ray Charles, Alice Cooper, Suzy Quatro and the Jordanaires (not all at once), but I don't know if any of them know Jimmy.... ....Wait a minute ... didn't the Jordanaires...

I hadn't heard! The Incredible Jimmy Smith has passed!
He was one of the greats on the Hammond organ. I have several of his records (on vinyl, of course) from the '70s. He truly never got the recognition he deserved.

I am also a fan of both The Chairman of the Board as well as the Mayor of Margaritaville. My parents were Sinatra fans and I heard him on the old RCA record player while growing up. I have a lot of his stuff, including a double autobiographical album he released in the 1960s in which he tells about ...

Also, I was thinking about some other lesser-known bands from the '60s ... anyone remember the Neon Philharmonic? They had a hit with "Morning Girl" and "Brilliant Colors." Also, the New Vaudeville Band, who had a hit with the kitschy "Winchester Cathedral." Ah, the goo...

Allman Brothers (I think at least 1 of their albums was released in the 60's) Good call. I knew as soon as posted my list that I'd leave out somebody. I found an album by an early version of the Allman Brothers a few years ago called Hourglass. They don't sound a whole lot like what would eventuall...

Following intermission, Buffett usually does do a couple of songs facing the folks behind the stage -- if the venue is true 360' seating. Actually, I've had tickets for both Buffett and Hank Jr. behind the stage in Columbia, S.C., and Charlotte, N.C., and thought the view and sound was great. I was ...

Has anyone ever been to any concert at the Jax Vet Memorial Arena? I was wondering about acoustics since my tickets are way up behind the stage in sec 121. I had similar seats for Buffett in Tallahasee three years ago and the sound was atrocious. Of course the Jax Arena is only 14 months old and the...

Got online right at 10 a.m. for three seats and received message that no availability fit my criteria. Tried again and after about 9 minutes, got section 121, row HH behind the stage. These are the real cheap seats ($30). Anybody ever been to a concert here and know anything about the view/acoustics...
