This is an emotional topic ... everyone has their own opinion, and there will always be different feelings about it. I respect the fact that everyone discussing this has done it eloquently, with many pro/con thoughts discussed in a sane manner. I too, had to make such a decision recently. When it bec...

Can't wait for the day when I can listen to music. I haven't been able to listen to anything without breaking down. So I stay tuned to talk shows and tolerate the idiots.

I haven't seen Sideways yet nor I have probably seen the majority of movies that are up for Oscars this year but of the ones I have seen, I'd go with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Behind for my favorite of 2004. And just how his behind get spotless? Must be massive amounts of Dove. Or possibly D...

Your Pick for an Oscar

Just saw Sideways last night ... what a delightful movie with great dialogue and side-splitting moments. But I don't think it's oscar material. I have to go with the favourite ... Million Dollar Baby. Hillary Swank for sure as best actress. She literally "knocked out". Anyone else?

When he dropped by "The Sports Page" in Mt. View before the concert at Shoreline ... the Banana Wind Tour. It was quite incredible. We walked into the outdoor bar area (this is the official PH pre-party spot), and there he was ... just leaning in the doorway, drinking a corona, and GASP .....

What An Imagination

I know there is another thread about this somewhere, but I couldn't find it. "A Salty Piece of Land" has been sitting here, I just haven't wanted to read it. Now I read a few chapters each night, and I'm astounded. What a wild imagination ... where do all these crazy scenarios come from? A...

Yep ... one of my favorites, although it makes me pretty weepy now ... (memories of slow dancing). My favorite version is on an older cd called "Trio Two" ... a compilation of great oldtimers from various artists sung by Dolly, Emmylou and Linda.

If you knew how much this moment means to me
And how long I've waited for your touch
If you knew how happy you are making me
I never thought I'd love anyone so much.

(Easy one for you guys!)

Oh wow, Cate ... my thoughts too. Life is too short and too sweet. All you guys ... let it go. How sad to focus energy on something or someone that you have no control over. Everyone thinks differently, and some people are just a**-holes. Live with it.

Could it have been at the now-defunct "Circle Star Theater" in Redwood City? Saw him there, but it might have been in the late 70's.

Wino .... that is one beautiful shephard (shepard) (dog). Somehow the spelling escapes me. Could it be the chardonnay? Yep I think it is. Henry is disgusted with me, and decided to disappear into the back yard. He appears to have re-gained his sense of superiority, and is prowling the the backyard f...

Hey ... Please read my thread on the off topic board: "Suggestions Please", about my dear old orange cat Henry. He still searches for Jp, and that's the reason he is in this mess now ... he was prowling under JP's Porsche, and found himself in a pan of oil. He's going through many dunkings...

After a good start this morning, we went to the vet . She told me to get the non-petroleum hand cleaner from an auto shop. So ... here we go again. Lathered up Henry's nether parts with the cleaner and then rewashed him up once again with Dawn, and lots of clear water. This poor kitty is so complian...

All seems better in Henry's world .... a lot of the oil is gone, and he has a good appetite. I think he really washed a lot last night, but he is not sick. I trimmed a lot of the matted fur off, and I think he'll be ok. All that oil was draining out JP's Porsche, which has been sitting in the garage...

Another dunking in Dawn. He seems so resigned and docile. Not like he usually is. I've been babying him big time, and will call the vet tomorrow. I'm really concerned ... he's my baby, and since Jp has been gone, I talk to this stupid cat as if he were human. Am I crazy? Thanks for all your suggesti...

This REALLY off topic, but here goes: Henry, my cat slipped into a pan of motor oil that was in the garage. My best guess is that he was curious, put a paw in it and then skidded into it. His entire left haunch and hind leg is really coated with it, and he is a miserable kitty. I bathed him twice in...

oooh ... you guys give me the shivers! How do you all get through the pre- concert stuff, and then be able to totally remember the concert? Guess I'm just too old, and have to choose a preference. When you get to be my age, tequila is in moderation. Darn it!

As I remember, the pre-party at Peggy Sues turned out to be a private affair, and we then met up at Senora Emmas which turned into a real zoo. BUT ... that's where I snagged my huge Corona ParrotHead banner which hangs in a very prominent positon in the garage. Tres Gringos sounds like the place to ...
