Not sure where all my phlock will be partying, but I suspect it will be here around the pool all day (weather permitting). My awesome neighbors have shown a keen interest in our PH activities over the years, and we have slowly educated them. We have designated drivers, so the trip to the Pavillion i...

I'm still in shock

I'm still in shock that that this happened: I ordered 8 tickets to the concert in San Jose (the pre-sale deal). As most of you know, I had decided not to even think about it without Jp by my side. Then had a "feeling" (go ahead and laugh) that he wanted me, the keets, and special friends t...

Great pix, Cate. I remember the Nova Scotia snow storms ... that was back when was I keet, and loved playing in it .... not worrying about shovelling out, driving in it, and heating the house etc. Now I am old enough to enjoy the beauty of looking at it, but when I want snow, Tahoe is close enough! ...

Take the day ferry (not an organized cruise) to Isla Mujeres and rent a golf cart when you arrive, (the best means of transportation on the island). Drive down the west side of the island to one of the many fish barbeque places. They cook the fish right on the beach immediately after the fishing boa...

This would be a good question to ask at WWW.TTOL . (Traveltalk online). Bet you will be able to find several suggestions there. Jp and stayed on Dickenson Bay several years ago for the sailing races. Sigh ... good times remembered.

First read the book. Herman Wouk writes good stuff... Jimmy wrote all the music to fit the story (which he identified with). Hard to write songs to fit that kind of scenario, but I think he did it, and I love it. Not the big party stuff, but what an achievement.

Hey .... as much as I would love to see Jimmy in April .... without JP, I am just not up to it. When I received the presale info, I immediately got excited. Then became weepy. Then settled down again into reality. Maybe next year. In the meantime, I will be thinking of all of you. Have some great ti...

My memory ain't what it used to be, but the first time I saw him headline was at the (now defunct) Circle Star Theater in Redwood City, Ca in the late 70's. I do remember that I bought a tee shirt in the front lobby. Have no idea where it is now. That was probably around the time that California &qu...

Lively Up!

This is the title of a JB article in the October issue of "Caribbean Travel and Life" magazine. Just received it today, and the article reviews Margaritaville in Negril (one of four in Jamaica). It's sub-titled "Wasted Away Again"; and describes Jimmy's run-in with the local auth...

Seems like there was another thread about this recently .... anyway I first saw Jimmy at the Circle Star Theater ( long gone) in Redwood City in the early 80's. My memories are hazy ... wonder why? Could be old age and a couple of glasses of chardonnay. Both now and then.

Sounds like someone threw a firecracker in the henhouse! Poor SchoonerWharf ... and guess what? I agree with him. Well maybe not entirely. Just the part about frequent posters. First time was at the Circle Star Theater in Redwood City .... early 80's. Since then, many times at many different venues ... but all here in the Bay area. Why are we doing this? Some sort of a contest?

Jimmy Buffett versus Tommy Bahama

Just looked at a Tommy Bahamas ad and thought: hmmmm ... Jimmy could easily do that too. Makes me wonder if he's ever thought of producing his own clothing line? ( Aside from Tee-shirts and caps). Naah ...probably not, unless Jane got involved. Want do you all think of the idea?

It's stupid of me, I know. I listen to the same cds over and over in my car. Then it takes awhile to figure out that I'm a little tired of hearing the same stuff. DUH! So I change them all to older stuff or just different ones, and then I'm blissful until the next burnout ...and that reminds me, it'...

As a Mom, and a seasoned ... (make that a well-seasoned) PH, I must make this comment: of course Moms "get Jimmy". It's natural for us to love that great music. I have been going to concerts since the early 80's, and have never been shocked. So why does everyone seem surprised?!
