I saw on the news last night that the 4 leading Republican candidates have nine wives/ex-wives between them.

Giuliani(sp?)-3
McCain-2
Gingrich-3
Romney-1

Family values baby. But if they say they won't let gays get married they will be right back in with the Kool-aid drinking crowd.

Just go to the tailgate parties, you can always find tickets it seems like. People get real excited and over order and always seem to have extras come show time. It happenned to me at my first show, I ordered like 8 tickets and had to give away 3 of them back in 96.

Spent many nights on the back porch growing up in the 70's in Overland Park Kansas listening to Denny Mathews and Bud Blattner?? I think was his name. And you can't forget producer engineer Ed Shepard. He is a classic.

Nice post Elrod, I read that article Sunday morning and thought it was awesome. Random acts of kindness are my favorite things to read about and do when I can, it makes the world a better place for everyone.

I agree with Hulagirl, I find that if I have something to look forward to like a concert, vacation, even a party, just something that distracts you momentarily helps out a lot. Also, this will sound weird, but a good friend of mine, he was in his 70's' went into a nursing home last year and whenever...

I always thought that reserves we're for emergencies here at home or if an outside country was invading us. I never imagined they would be used like they are being now, personally I think its a disgrace.

I think Captenuna is right on, if it's a serious, romantic Buffett song that you want, then Anything is the one. I don't know if that song captures the Buffett spirit per se, but it is the only romantic serious love song of his that I can see.

To Burn or Not to Burn--Giving away music or promoting it?

I have quite a few friends that like this type of music, but aren't motivated enough to get on line and buy CDs on their own, so in the past I have burnt 10 or 15 songs from artists like Jim Morris or Sunny Jim to get them hooked. I feel weird doing it because every CD sale counts with these guys, b...

Yeah, I agree with those choices. I did the same thing a couple years ago, bought 4 for the discount and ordered the other 2 shortly thereafter. This leads me to another thread I'm going to post about burning songs for friends to get them hooked.

We stayed at MGM for the Buffett concert last October and we didn't care for it that much, too big and impersonal. My brother stayed across the street at Hooters Hotel/Casino and we really liked it that's where we will stay next time. The people were friendly and not so big and overwhelming, plus ha...

Tony Dungy needs to hire John Gruden to coach the Colts in the post season like he did when he took over Tampa Bay from Tony D and won the Super Bowl the first year. Tony has Schottnheimer syndrome, where they do great during reg season then choke in off season.

I went to Marks web site and under reviews, he used an E-mail that I sent him regarding his new CD as one of the reviews for the new CD. I thought that was pretty cool as I have never really considered myself any kind of music critic. And I am standing by my comment that this is one of my all time f...
