Re: What is the scene like at Comcast (mansfield)
I'd also avoid the far back lots. Last year I picked up nails in 2 of my tires in one of the back lots. Has never happened in any of the other lots.

I think after the whole George Bush thing the French aren't really keen on Texas. Maybe they wouldn't let you guys buy tix....

Re: What is the scene like at Comcast (mansfield)
Been to a number of different concerts at comcast, including JB. While JB is most elaborate, I've never had a single problem setting up some chairs, hoisting a few brews, and having a bit of food before the concert. The underage kids a few cars over who were making a big production out of drinking d...

I'm just struggling with this as a real addiction. It seems to me that he was a young guy who got a lot of money and fame at a very early age, and decided he didn't have to play by the same rules as everyone else.

After last year, I'd rather they not tell me about a concert unless it's an absolute. So far it's been good because I've been free to get any tix with the 3 days notice before they go on sale.

Re: 2010 Tour Date Rumors
We need VEGAS dates.... I was watching hotel prices. There's no weekend yet where there's a big jump in prices in October like you usually see when a concert is going to be there. That and MGM Garden Arena only has 3 events listed between now and the end of the year. Not looking good for an October...

Wow. Looks like there's a lot of tix still available for both days. Scalpers must not be doing their job.

If you have a free evening, check out Steve Wyrick over at Planet Hollywood. Little theatre, great magician. Still can't figure out the airplane thing.

I really enjoy watching the scalpers get no bids when they price the tix at 6x face value. By the day of the show, they are taking anything the can get.

Re: Las Vegas for non gamblers?
Le Reve (the Cirque shown over at the Wynn) is really intriguing. It's not as splashy as KA. A lot more like "O". I really liked it. it is a Cirque-type show, not part of the Cirque Shows. Sorry I wasn't as precise as possible. Hopefully it didn't cause a great deal of confusion to anyone.

Re: An open letter to Mr. Buffett
I think that's how most clubs do it.
By "binding contract," I meant that they couldn't legally come to you and say "you have to pay or we'll take you to court." The clubs do, however, have internal mechanisms to encourage folks to follow through with their commitments.

Re: An open letter to Mr. Buffett
Commitment for tix doesn't constitute a valid contract. They haven't given you an actual ticket yet, so there's no offer and consideration. It just might tick off the club prez. And it might be a violation of club rules. But they cannot force you to cough up the cash for the ticket if you don't wan...
