PHC tix were originally going to be $97/ea. Word came down yesterday they ar $131 for seats behind the stage. Grrr. Might be a good concert to play at the pre-party and post-party and skip the concert.

Not to be cynical or anything, but is anyone particularly surprised by this?

Several years back a theater in Austin did a fundraiser with the Wizard of Oz as a sing-along. They had a costume contest. One of the winners was a group of UT girls who dressed up in neon mini skirts with matching wigs and boas. They were the "whores of a different color".

Oh...and stand up to those church folks that aren't upholding the mission of the church. There's nothing worse that when someone is doing something that is just patently non-jesuslike (think of the Kansas folks who visit funerals to protest) to have the rest of the church just silently sit by. Some thoughts..... First -- relevance. Find a way to be relevant in today's world. It seems in many ways, the church still operates as if was 1920 or 1930. Nothin' on price yet. We just had to put our name on the list and promise to pay whatever the price is. The PHC tix last time were behind the stage, so they'll probably be around $100.

SWA will take you from Manchester to BWI. You can pick up a rental car there and truck in the remaining 30 minutes or so.

My experience with Northwest is that they don't do anything to help out.
