Re: Alpine Reopening
I am hoping he goes to Alpine. I can't stand Wrigley, between the over-prices bars, traffic and stuff, I'd rather drive the 2 hours to Alpine than go there. If he doesn't, this would mark the second year in a row that I' wouldn't have gone. Wrigley just isn't worth it.

Re: Wrigley Field 2018
Why Wrigley, seriously. Other than it being there, the northside sucks for having concerts. No tailgating, bars cost an arm and a leg and when you live far south of there just getting there is a pain. Hopefully Alpine will have a date.

Re: Who's going to Chicago, June 28, 2014?
I have a feeling that the tailgating will be a non-issue. They took care of it two years ago, and we were surprised to find out that the lot opened at 12 instead of 2 like it originally said. Like last time, no info was given before the tickets were sold about allowing tailgating, you were told,&quo...

Re: Chicago 2014
The problem is, is that there isn't a "perfect" venue to be in. Toyota has good sightlines, nice staff, good sound, but the tailgating is ok, (depends which car you are, the front car or the rear) Tinley has tons of space but with the no tailgating issue, mediocre sound and staff that's wi...

Re: Chicago show venue failures a breakdown
After reading all the bad reviews, I am soooo glad my wife, friends and I opted to stay at home and listen to the show in my backyard having our own party. There was no way I was going to spend that kind of money not to be able to tailgate and possibly not be able to see nor enjoy the show. People b...

Re: Who's going to Chicago, 6/29/2013?
I laugh because two weeks ago no one cared about tailgating downtown and the logistics, all that mattered was that it was downtown. Now, everybody's concerned about it, where to go, what time, and the city hasn't even given out the details yet. Talk about putting the cart in front of the horse. At l...

Re: Northerly Island, Chicago
Surf pirate is the exact reason why some people won't go to this. Pay double for the view, are you nuts!!! (Open palm and insert forehead), ugh! Some people just don't get it.

Re: Northerly Island, Chicago
Let me get this right, anyone who lives south of I55 should drive to at least Midway to get a train, are you kidding me? If you drove 3/4 of the way just keep going! I love howpeople say "...all you have to do is...."or"..just do this and you'll be fine...", answer, nope. Let's b...

Re: Northerly Island, Chicago
Hokie is right. It's obvious that some of you have never been to a Bears game because you have no idea how it works there. You just don't drive right up LSD, pop out of the car and say here we are. All I say is be prepared. Also, if you need scenery, go there anytime, take pictures, but being at tha...

Re: Northerly Island, Chicago
I just looked and saw the the Taste is two weeks after the show, but none the less it's still a bad place (location) great scenery, just not downtown.

Re: Northerly Island, Chicago
Plus, I'm pretty sure that the Taste of Chicago is going on that week. If so, good luck getting there, remember, there is only one way in, I55, all the other highways flow into 55. Have fun trying to get a room also if the Taste is going on. The hotels have already been put on alert due to the fact ...

Northerly Island, Chicago
This has got to be a joke, right? All to have it downtown it's ridiculous. No one took into consideration that ticket prices will include a "fee" from the city, outrageous parking prices, plus tailgating will be close to non existant due to the fact that you won't be anywhere near the venu...

Re: Chicago!!!
Playing downtown sounds nice, but let's be realistic. The price for tickets will be,outrageous, parking mind numbing, plus any other type of "fee" the city can incour. If everyone thought that tailgating at Toyota sucked, then you never did it downtown for a Bears game. the closest to tail...

Tailgating at Tinley Park
I literally got off the phone with a person at the Tinley Park City Hall, and they said that there will be tailgating at the venue..............BUT, the lots will open 3 hours BEFORE the show (show starts at 8!), therefore the tailgating will start at 5:00! That came from the chief of police and the...

Re: First Midwest Amphitheatre in Tinley Park
I just talked to someone, and the vibe that I'm getting is that they probablly won't let it happen if on a limited basis. They don't have any info now and that I should call back tomorrow and maybe the city will have a decision. To me it's not worth it. I'm gonna wait for Alpine. It just sucks that ...

First Midwest Amphitheatre in Tinley Park
I just spoke to a rep there (3/23 at 4:30 pm) and she said that the J.B. camp and the city still haven't worked out a deal regarding tailgating. It's a city ban not the venue. She said if the city allows it for just this show, then they would allow it. She said, and I quote, ...." all the I's a...

Re: Technical Problems in Chicago
The thing is, is you have to get there early and try and figure out how the parking is going to go. If you get there at te wrong time you might be the front car out the two, and you won't have a spot to tailgate. So far, I've gotten luck each time to be the second car, but I know my time is limited....
