Hmmm...from Alabama Jacks! Or some cracked conch at the Poop Deck in Nassau.
That's it I'm mounting an expedition to BO's Fish Wagon. Conch Fritters for all!

Enough of this snow and cold!

We hosted a summer "Tiki" party for about 70 people in July. The above suggestions are right in line with what we had on the menu for our guests. How about a few games? We created a Lime Toss game, like the old beanbag toss. A simple board with holes of various sizes. Each had different po...

be patient, ours starts tomorrow at 3 p.m.!

I still have to cut the lawn, spread the mulch, buy the ice, slice the limes, mix the drinks....

Oh wait, maybe I'll just start mixing now and say "to heck with the rest!"

Haven't seen it... what store did you get them at last year?[/quote]

It was at a local Fleet Farm. Seemed to be in a few other places last year, too.

This year they seem to have disappeared and the clerks just look at me like I'm from another planet or something. ;-)

Great ideas. We have a party scheduled for July 2 and have most of the basics. Our menu will be Cheeseburgers (what else!) with all the proper trimmings and since people always ask "what can I bring" we are encouraging them to bring their favorite "Island or Tropical" Hours d'ove...

My vote is for Captain Crunch and rum... and the hope that this post puts us at 70 pages.

All this and still no concert date.

But do I wish to be a tailpipe in my next life?

Is today's concert replay on Radio Margaritaville a sign of good news coming our way or bad news? I noticed it changed from a scheduled Cincinatti replay earlier this week. It would be a shame if Jimmy does not make Alpine this year. Although I'm already tied up the weekend of July 30, there is some...

Buffett at Work

Between RM and the mp3s on the hard drive, there is always music in my office. Of course having an office makes it easy to do since it doesn't interfere with the rest of the staff. They, unfortunately, have the pleasure of Muzak all day every day. I'd go crazy! Plus the "island sounds" mak...

Add two more, me and the missus. In Oshkosh, on the water. Or in today's case on the ice. But if I can build a blender big enough, we could have enough ice for the universe's largest frozen margarita. Hummm.....please pour the tequila now. Better get back to work before the boss notices......... ;-)

At the risk of incurring the wrath of the Board, he's right in his quote. He said (something to the effect of ... ) "sometimes I want to say get a life!" Can you imagine what we all must be like to Mr. Buffett at times? Think about it. Everybody wants him to be the consumate beach-life guy...

Thank you is never going to be enough to say to you and your fellow service members. We do sleep under a free sky because of people like you who actually take a stand in harm's way for what we all believe. Again, thank you will never be enough, but know that at least in my house the American flag fl...

Alipne Weather

What is the latest weather report? Cloudy with a high of 42. Chance of snow. ;-) Actually Weather Channel says sunny, near 80 and a slight chance of rain (20%) Hope I didn't jinx things by talking about the weather. If this holds, it will be one of the first warm weekends we've had this summer. Mos...

I am lucky enough to be able to listen most of the day at work and at home. Really enjoy the variety on RM, but what can compare to the live shows! And here I thought my brain was the only one that did that. :)

Seems most mornings a Buffett song is on the internal "wake-to-music." "I Love the Now" was this morning's selection.

Or maybe I need a vacation...........

90 minutes till Alpine Tickets go on sale!
