I'm really happy about all the success of a great tune but I can't help but wonder about all the people that will now jump on the band wagon and how much more difficult it will be to get tix to Bubba's shows for those of us that have been around all these years. Just my $.02 here, but it can work t...

We could do outdoors I guess, but that would be like Alpine 2 years ago......I don't think Jimmy appreciated the 40 degrees, what would he do in -20?????  We are all such dreamers......someday maybe! How about Miller Park? Then if the weather turns nice, they could open the roof. I guess...

Oshkosh, AirVenture

Those of you that have been to Oshkosh, did you fly in or drive in? I'm just wondering if it is real hectic to fly in since it's the biggest fly-in in the country or if they are good about getting everybody in I'd like to say it is a piece of cake to fly in to Oshkosh -- 51 weeks out of the year. I...

Pitot Tube wrote: If I can ever finish my Zenith CH-701, Oshkosh is #1 on my list of places to visit. Been to several regional fly-ins and can only dream what Air Venture is like. We'll if you get up this way, let me know. I'll show you the sights! This one is Oshkosh #23 for me. Now if I can just g...

Shiny side up, dirty side down.

As with many things in life, there are two sides to every story. While I hate to see such a great airplane sitting instead of flying, the economics of flying and maintaing such a creature can be substantial. So now more people can see her up close, but they'll never know the sound of those engines o...

Re: The Life Cycle of a Parrot Head

9.Hi, my name is Steve and I listen to Buffett music. a. Comes to the realization Buffett is human, deals with it through the support of other Buffett fans or some internal strength. b. Understands the myth, and to some degree, the man who created it and finds solace somewhere between Stage 6 and S...

Go to the Photo Gallery link at the top of the page, then check the Tailgate Pictures section and go to the end -- Speedo Man is page 28.

But don't say I didn't warn you!

Hi All: I posted a pic of Speedo Man :o in the tailgate section of Photos. It was kind of like a car wreck where no matter how gruesome you still have to look. Car wreck is a compliment! Good thing I'm still at work, I can use the emergency eye wash station after looking at the shots of Speedo Man.

Alipne Review

Hey 7Lords, Congrats on the 100 posts! Interesting reading about the number of those who couldn't keep their stomach contents contained. I wonder what a "younger" concert act draws to the lot? Maybe we went in too early (around 6), but had no problems getting through the gates (except the ...

Alpine Review

OK all you Alpine Valley fans!

Thank the Tiki Gods for the weather!

I thought the show was great and the parking lot incredible. But then again, I might have had a few boat drinks as well.

So, at this early hour, what are your first impressions of the show last night?

Anybody awake yet? :D

Hi Shrimper Dan, Tatted Maccaw and Capt. P, Glad you got tickets. Have room for two more? :) I thought maybe with Ticketmaster's new "security" word system we'd have a better shot. I just waited as it said (if you hit refresh you'll lose your place in line, it says...). Last year it seemed...

Alpine Tix

Did anybody have any luck? I tried the on line service starting exactly at 10 and was offered lawn seats right off the bat (10:01). I passed on those and thought maybe I could still hit some covered seats. But to no avail. Lots of waiting and every combination search returned no tickets available. B...
