Yes I have winamp... in the process of looking, some Kernel thing performed an illegal operation and I was once again locked up (no pun intended, and once again, thank goodness the pc and not me!)

Good time for a technical question...

I downloaded it successfully, but when I try to access it, I get a series of fatal errors (thank goodness it's to my pc and not me! ) and then a completely black screen and locked up computer. What resources am I lacking? I'm on a 1999 Dell.
