Re: Sail on Paul Eels

Instead of starting a new topic, I thought this would be the most appropriate spot for this. Veteran sportscaster and "Voice of the Arkansas Razorbacks" was killed in a car crash last night. I had the pleasure of working with him a few times, and must say that he was one of the nicest peo...

Colleges will cater to tv because they know the fans will show up anyway regardless of the date or convience. Has any team lost attendance because the game is on Thursday? I am not saying that catering to tv is not true but the colleges can have the best of both when they are both selling out the a...

Blame TV for not having a bye week. They added the 12th game this year to add an extra week for more revenue. Same as the NFL for adding their bye week only adding a bye helps NFL cutting a bye hurts college. It is so tough to get college age kids up for games 12 weeks in a row. Should be interesti...

Nope. If I'm not enjoying it, I just put it down and start another one. No need to waste time on a book you don't like.

I remember hearing the term IPTAY years ago.. I Pay Ten(K) A Year. IPTAY is the name of Clemson's athletics booster program.....one of the most successful in the nation. It did start out as standing for I Pay Ten a Year.....back in the 1930s when it started. Now.....it's a good bit more than that. ...

Go NOLES.....but everyone in the ACC is picking Clemson and baby Bowden...we will see!!! Oh yes....we shall see.....while I would LOVE to see my Tigers win the ACC this year, I'm not *quite* confident enough yet to make that prediction. I am really not liking that we play FSU so early in the season...

Well.....I guess I was kind of part of a dorky crowd. I had plenty of friends, but we never did anything too bad....no real partying, didn't cut class, got good grades....we definitely weren't in the "popular" crowd, but we weren't the total geeks of the school either. Somewhere in the mid...

Re: I've got a question for you.

Not a big deal missing the party. Like I said before I will send a gift (water gun for indoor use only). This is my sisters husband and I wouldn't ask my wife to say anything on my behalf but she can only take so much. My bad...I was confused, thinking it was your wife's brother. Well, then....sinc...

Re: I've got a question for you.

"I've got a question for you." Please grant me an interview! (did anyone else think that?) I did! But back to the topic at hand, I agree with everyone else that your BIL is wayyyyy out of line here. My hubby is a bit overweight, too, and if anyone in my family ever called him a name...

My dog (yellow lab mix) is the same way, green. She's three now, and has never had a fear of storms until just recently. Never even fazed her before, but now she HAS to be in the room with my husband or she is freaking out. He does what you did--just takes her in another room until she calms down. D...

I went in April.....when you go to see the Statue, get there early. They only sell a limited number of tickets to go inside the statue (but you can't go to the top any more) and by the time we got there around 11 a.m., they were already sold out. We could go to the island and walk around, but not in...
