Awww, thanks, SGH. I hope you're right.

This isn't a good year for us as far as grandmothers go. We found out over Thanksgiving that my husband's grandmother has colon cancer and the prognosis is not good.

Thanks, everyone. Later yesterday we found out from the doctors that the stroke was worse than they initially thought. While it didn't physically paralyze her or anything like that, mentally she'll never be the same again. She's just in a very confused state right now and probably won't come out of ...

Phin power for my grandmother--an update

Hey guys....I was wondering if I could get a little phin power directed to my grandmother today. I just found out she had a stroke and is in the hospital. They say it was a mild stroke--nothing life-threatening--but it was bad enough so that they're not letting her go back to the assisted living pla...

My parents always cook that meal on New Year's Day, but I have never liked it, so I never eat it. Maybe that's why I never have any money. :-?

One of my favorite memories was the year I got a bike from Santa. I was so excited and keyed up about it because I just KNEW I was getting a bike--it was pracitically all I had asked for. I was so excited about it I couldn't sleep at all! I literally laid in bed awake all night just waiting until I ...

Santa never wrapped our gifts. There was always one pile for me and one for my sister. The gifts from my parents were wrapped and under the tree.....that's how we knew the difference. We always left him some sugar cookies and some milk and were always amazed when it was gone the next day....it never...

Went to Aruba four years ago on my honeymoon and we loved it. The Jeep thing is a must.....we took a Jeep tour (through DePalms Tours) that included a Jeep tour of the entire island, lunch, and snorkeling. Not sure where you're staying, but there are lots of good restuarants and bars in Oranjestaad-...

I'm just glad that Miami didn't roll through the conference like some people thought they would. And I'm glad my Tigers contributed to their "L" column. :D Good luck in the Sugar.....it'll be a blast. I'll be at home New Year's Day watching all the bowl action on TV, since my team can't be...

Power Mac G4 at work and a G5 at home. I used to not really care what kind of computer I used, but my husband is one of those militant Mac users that refuses to use anything else, so I was forced into Mac use (at home, anyway....we just happen to use them in my office as well). I really like my Macs...

How can you say miserably. Only coach to have consecutive bowl wins in their history I think what bananaman meant was that Holtz failed miserably compared to the promises he made when he was hired. He was talking about SEC and even national championships, which, of course, did not happen. Sure, he ...

i agree it was a two sided affair....i just didn't see any SC player kicking any Clemson players unprotected head while they were on the ground I'm just saying the USC players did their fair share, too. Neither you nor I was on the field during the fight, so neither of us can say exactly what each ...

I hope so! It is something I think about from time to time. I know people who have never experienced depression or other mental health issues can have problems with PPD.
