ok-so there I am in the friendly confines ready to enjoy a nice August day game---record cold temperatures, 2 rain delays, 11 innings and the Cubs lose. Oh, and Sosa struck out 4 times and really was booed by the crowd. yeah, the Cardinals lost today too, but what good did that do us.

OK-so I am off to see my beloved Cubbies play Thursday-hope I get to see Nomar play. And sure hope they get some runs for Clement who has pitched so well this year.

Hope it comes a day or two early-I've got to drive to Iowa on the 25th to give a speech that night, returning to Chicago the next day (in time to see Jimmy) and it will be great playing it in the car!

I would recommend renting a car and driving over to Door County-it may be a bit early for the trees changing colors (though maybe not) but it is a beautiful area with lots of beautiful parks, great little shops and places to eat and would be a great place to visit.
