Oh, and, one warning -- the web site has a "helper" which will craft your complaint for you, and some of the stuff they insert will make you sound a little goofy if you don't edit more scrupulously than I did... but you can still make your point.

Saw something this morning & checked it out: http://www.planetfeedback.com -- an online service in which you can express your opinions about companies while sending your complaints to their management. While I have absolutely no confidence that this will garner any response from TM, it does make...

And, on a more practical note, she probably could've, had she been unscrupulous, given the rate at which Atlanta tickets are going, gotten a lot more money for four lawn seats there then she did in that deal, and I sincerel doubt she could make much money tring to pimp the Vegas tickets she got -- t...

Well, Reef, I suppose you can never tell where you'll be duped, and perhaps I was, but I still got a good deal, and since, I'm in contact with the person in question thinking we'll hoist a few boat drinks in both venues, I'm inclines to think she was genuine. I've sold numerous extra tickets on the ...

Anonymous, I didn't see your last response to me 'til just now, and I'm going to ask a serious question, which is asked purely out of curiousity and intended politely: why would that trade negotiated between two (yes, I'll use the term) parrotheads who both felt like we walked away from it having be...

Why, anon, that almost sounds as if it were an amicable admission? Would it be too much for you to admit to some of us making good trades?

Oh, come on, guys -- I just started this thread to say that, in spite of all the disparaging remarks & some of the nastiness about scalpers, brokers, etc., it is possible to make equitable trades from time to time with people you find through the ticket exchange, and yet the anonymousity follows..

I know there have been a lot of disparaging remarks around here about scalpers & "true parrotheads" & some of the inflated rates on the ticket exchange board, but sometimes they do work. Just back from the mailbox, and I have four badly needed additional Atlanta tickets in hand (pl...

I think the clubs do get some ticket allocations (& usually fairly decent seats), but eligibility for them is dependent upon participation in club activities, largely community service. If you don't live near a club (or yours is inconvenient to you), check the Virtual Parrothead Club, which will...

Well put, Tampico -- it's all a crap shoot. I've been very lucky with on-line until this morning, and I was completely shut out trying for GW for a friend. But I also got pavillions for Atlanta, lawns for Pittsburgh, both sorts for Houston & great seats for Vegas on-line, so who can tell? I'm ju...

And, geez, it would be nice if I could string two thoughts together at once -- another alternative I'd suggest would be the ticket exchanges on this site & on cobo -- both strictly forbid scalping (though I suspect some goes on behind the scenes), but I've both purchased & sold at face value...

Actually, Im not familiar with the corporate retraction -- just sounded pretty junky (though I do live in Houston, and the roster of the companies that might potentially do something like that positively boggles my little mind these days). It's a chancy thing to do if you're intending to travel to a...

And, if you're desparate, there are numerous local ticket brokers -- I've never checked with them on specifics, but I can remember being really, really mad going home for lunch one day after a particularly difficult time getting nosebleeds for Compaq, and the place on Westheimer/Fountain View had ha...

Boo on that retraction! Though I don't know how well you would've done trying -- Houston sold out as quickly as Atlanta, and there were far worse available tickets five minutes in. If you're local & can go on short notice, keep trying TM (especially the last couple of days before the show), as s...

Actually did pretty well through TM on-line (go figure). Got two pavillions for Atlanta (amazingly -- six minutes in), a pair of lawns for Houston & a freak great single in the pavillion. I ordinarily hate TM, but I'm feeling a bit better about them, today.
