On the surface, Nick Cave would appear to be very un-Buffett, but on another level they both have the ability to tell great stories in their music.

I'm torn on how I feel about the Ipod. It is too close to the mass marketing they were supposedly satirizing during the Zooropa/POP days. That said, I don't begrudge anyone success or wealth, and certainly not a band like U2 who has more than earned their credentials.

So now what? Both Qbs out, and Vandy had UF on the ropes there for awhile yesterday. The Irish wanted that game more. Beating UT made them bowl eligible. Can UT rally beat a healthy Auburn team for the SEC title? Can the pups rally to beat a healthy Auburn team to lock up 2nd in the East? :r...

Will Tennessee take the Fighting Irish lightly this weekend and get upset??? Tennessee could get upset without taking the Irish lightly. Ainge hasn't played especially well of late and the longer ND hangs around the more nervous I will get. Schaeffer came off the bench last weekend to spark the off...

I'm actually more concerned about the Tigers playing on astroturf. They've never been too strong playing on carpet. Tennessee has never played well in the SECCG. I am hoping we reverse that trend this year. Even if we don't, I'm ecstatic with this year. I was seriously thinking we might go 7...

Well if Auburn makes it past Tennessee in the SEC Championship game, then I will root for them. I always like to see a SEC team do well nationally. Been there, done that. :P hey if things work out, you gotta make it through again :P :P  It is tough to beat the same team twice in a year. 2001 ...

Re: thougts

Just had to jump in... IMHO, there's a huge difference in the holistic viewpoints held by Mr. Kerry and Mr. Bush. If you look back at his history, Mr. Kerry has consistently held the attitude that we need to talk, negotiate, and peaceably work out differences between nations. Remember, he met with ...

as true clinton fans you totally dismissed what i said...i don't blame clinton for 9-11, but how he skated for 8 years and he had his oppitunity to do something and he ran away We were undermanned and unprepared for Somalia. Peacekeeping missions are a different animal as we are seeing again now. Y...

I'll go out on a limb as say that I think the lizards win this one. From all accounts, the players are upset about Zook's firing. I think they play with emotion and pull this one out. I would love to be there this weekend, especially since my Vols beat both this year.

Alright I need to bump this thread back up to the top. Is it going to be Spurrier or someone else? It will be Spurrier. And as a Vol fan I welcome his return. He is great for the conference & for the rivalry. He built that program into one of the best in the nation. That said, Zook is leaving i...

Great Rock-n-Roll/Election Analogy

From Supersuckers frontman Eddie Spaghetti: Let's say that the Republican Party is Van Halen and (for the sake of argument we will time travel quite a bit) Abraham Lincoln is the David Lee Roth of Republicans. An ass kicking, slave freeing, minimize-the-government-in-our-lives bad ass. The glory yea...

Re: Corona and the Presidential Election

Thanks for listening, Loren I'll always listen, Loren, but not necassarily agree. Such is the case this time. As Jimmy pretty much knows, his audience is made up of people of both political persuasions, and as such, lots of right wingers probably drink Corona too. I drink so much of the stuff, I sh...
