I had the same problem and I used cooking oil mixed with a good abrasive salt, I used kosher salt. That and a little elbow grease took it right off.

Now that 24 is gone, Sons is my favorite show. I will give The Event a try. There is a new show on AMC called The Walking Dead that looks intriguing. My standards are House, The Office, Glee, Extreme Home Makeover, Family Guy, and whatever is on Food Network, History, or Discovery.
