My grandmother volunteers at the local hospice thrift shop- she found the 8 track (just the tape, no liner notes or anything) and presented it as a gag gift (she thought). Of course, no one I know still has a working 8 track player. If anyone has a player and can convert it to CD, I'm pretty open to...

My personal opinion and from some "unconfirmed" sources, the M'ville in MB will open between the said dates: July 12-15. However, Buffett will not be there for the opening and they will have a GRAND OPENING at a later date. If anyone knows this date, please share. I am from NC and live on...

I absolutely love Cajun Power Garlic Sauce mixed with butter and tabasco. The CP isn't very hot, but it has a great flavor. Have you tried honey to thicken the sauce?

I don't know.....yet. One of the Richmond BN'ers went up there Friday afternoon, but I haven't heard from him yet about what happened. What a Parrothead! He took off work early and even had the blessing of his pregnant wife to go on a Jimmy hunt! :D Sounds like he made a good choice on the wife!

Re: Indy tailgating

The venue rules do say no tailgating BUT we've been going to Buffett concerts at Indy (Verizon Music Center, Nobelsville) for several years now and ALWAYS tailgate. The security folks and deputies have always been very accomodating. I have to believe that JB himself has said tailgating must be allo...

I've posted this on several other threads, but they really, truly mean it. Sleepy Bear campground is across the street, they're fairly cool. There's a lot of info in the other threads. Last time I called Cheeseburger, they did tell me that their packages were all sold out, but I just talked to whome...

Must've smoked too much crack at lunch, sorry. Edit is good! (I thought there was a delete too?) Coconuts, I didn't realize that I spelled it wrong until you brought it to my attention. I figured since the mistake was noticed, I would go in and use the delete option and replace it using the edit op...

I can understand Jimmy's desire for an extra engine- he's been pretty unlucky to get into some situations, but lucky enough to get out. I have to think there's a certain amount of CYA there.

It's a lot of fun. Hoosier PH was supposed to call them last night and let me know whether they would be in the ballroom or the biergarten (hint hint Jeff!!). They do usually sell the draft beer by the liter, just so you know (I was kind of annoyed when they told me my beer was $8 the first time, th...

There's one in the Greenwood Mall on the southside of Indy- you could run in there on your way to the show. It's called Beach Baby Surf and Swim, I think- it's in a dark corner of the mall just outside of one of the anchor stores (Lazarus or Ayres, I think). You take the County Line Road exit off 65...

My parents tried for the longest time to convince me to move to Hawaii. It finally dawned on them last year (they've spent February there for the last 3 years) that at least part of the reason everyone works 2 jobs there is because after 4-6 months, you really have nothing better to do (the cost of ...

Hoosier PH is right, but it does flood, no hot showers (no hot water at all) and the port a pots are the nastiest I've ever seen with the exception of the ones at the Indy 500.

Mac is playing at the Rathskellar on Wednesday night- I think I might skip CiP and go there instead. The drinks aren't tropical, but they have like a dozen different kinds of German beer on tap (it's $8 per liter), and I think he'll be playing outside in the biergarten. It's a $10 cover. Can you bu...

We've (the Indy club) never been to it, we've always thought it was entirely too expensive. But our bus and Cheeseburger's buses are all sold out, so it's becoming one of the more responsible choices. A lot of people will be at Sleepy Bear Campground, but it depends on the mood whether they'll charg...
