No- Colorado skiing was great. The base was taller than I am, and we got fresh snow at least once, and that was mid-March. The mess was in Tahoe in over New Year's several years ago. They apparently don't start getting good snow until February.

I am not, but my mom does. She works for a bank, so they're uncirculated. I think they'll be my nieces' beer funds once they go to college.

I tried cooking briar shoots a couple of times. A field guide book I had said they would be like asparagus. They weren't... but I just had to try, right? I had a hippy mother who went through a wild food phase. I have had queen anne's lace which was supposed to be like carrots, milk weed I think, a...

I love swiss chard- not so much on the kale though. What I do to make it edible is saute onion and garlic in chicken stock, then the kale in it, cook it through, then I add a block of fat free cream cheese, milk, some creole seasoning, some cooked chicken and some parmesan, then serve over pasta. It...

We liked the bartender (Magic Alan) better there- like he was just cooler to hang out with, but the prices at the Rum Bar, part of the Rum Runner Guest House, were considerably better (like we got a couple of free refills of the $10 per shot stuff). The bartender there was fine, and it may have been...

I make file gumbo, not okra, but here's as much of a recipe as I have (this makes enough to feed a tailgate and have about a gallon left over): Make dark roux w/ equal parts oil and flour (I usually just use Wesson because it's easy)- about 3/4 cup of each 1 large onion (diced) 4 stalks celery (dice...

Would you want the job? I wouldn't, ever, but especially now. I especially wouldn't want to have to campaign for two years.

When my FIL died, my parents sent flowers on behalf of the whole family, giving mom's, dad's, my brother, my sister, BIL, one niece's names, then KTNPG. We looked at it and went WTF? So once my parents got there, they looked at it and rolled their eyes- it should have said Katie and Peggy.

The job I left in June paid (between my contribution and theirs) about $5000 just for coverage for me for 2007. This just sounds like a way for employers to get out of offering health insurance. I did not get a raise when we switched to Tom's company's plan (which had a lower contribution for both o...

Candied ginger, if the dog will eat it.

Call your vet for the Dramamine dosage- it goes by pound of dog. Also, it tastes horrible- make sure you have something to cover the taste (our dogs thought the Glucosamine supplement was a treat- same with antibiotics).

Been there, done that, still have the cat and scars to prove it! Unfortunately the pregnant cat we rescued wasn't friendly at first.
