Honeymoon

Bora Bora is great. Costa Rica is wonderful. Kona Village on the island of Kona is pretty darn good too. Phuket Thailand is unbelivable. And of course there's always chartering a boat and cruising the islands. I agree with the comment that you want to get away from the crowds and spend the time with...

Indoor vs. Outdoor

Having seen Jimmy perform numerous shows both indoor and outdoor over the last 25 years I would say it depends on the venue, the weather and who you are with! I saw Jimmy at Park West Ski Resort back in the early 80's (i think) and it was an incredible show because the full moon came up right behind...

Cruises vs. All Inclusive

As I understand it, Christmas and New Years are PEAK season for cruises and thus the price will be fairly steep. There are lots of all inclusive resorts scattered about the Caribbean depending on where and what you want. Have you considered Cancun, Cozumel? It's still peak season at that time but th...

Remember the Volcano and Mermaid only happen after 5pm. Try the Cuban Meatloaf Sandwich and the Bahamian Soup!

Dallas

I heard an interview with Jimmy about this and he said he never had a problem with Dallas, it was just something that worked in the song. He apologized to all the folks in Dallas saying that he had wonderful memories of how the people of Dallas supported him when he was playing junior colleges, bars...

Cd shops

Since I don't shop the big box stores much, I stick with Orion's Music in Salt Lake City, which is a wonderful little local store. They don't have 20 or 30 copies of anything but they have lots of esotric artists and a wide range of imports from various genre. On top of this they have knowledgable e...

What I'm listening to

Cliff Eberhardt, Stacy Board's Drive, Stephanie Corby, Erika Luckett's New Orleans Session, Thin Lizzy Live and Dangerous, that's all that's in my car's CD player at the moment.

My daughter's first show was Vegas in 2000, she was 7 at the time. She had a great time and has managed to make most of the shows in Vegas since then. She's also been to shows in Denver, Phoenix and San Diego. When she goes we make sure we're not on the lawn. I agree you have to tone down the partyi...

copyrights & trademarks

I just chatted with my company's legal beagle and he says in both cases that it is a clear violation of Jimmy's copyright and trademarks and if his corporate lawyers didn't do their utmost to enforce the copy then they will lose the protection of the law and anyone could exploit Jimmy's work without...

barefooting

While you may or may not be weird, you're hardly alone. I would much rather be barefooting it like Jerry Jeff says. I come home from work and the shoes are the first thing off. I don't think it's Jimmy's influence, I think it's something to do with the fact that my feet are happier with room to brea...

Songs to retire

I really wouldn't mind Jimmy retiring Hokey Pokey forever, along with Cheeseburger, Brown eyed Girl, WDWGDAS, In the City, Tiki bar, Natives, Another Saturday Night, 5 O'clock somewhere and Math Sux. I would love Jimmy to play 4 or 5 hours worth of nuggets however I suspect that many people wouldn't...

Keets at shows

As I've posted elsewhere my 10 year old daughter has seen Jimmy several times and is anxious to see him again soon! We don't do the lawn so she doesn't get trampled. She's done the party at Las Vegas 3 times and everyone has treated her wonderfully well. She's received leis, beads, hats, squirt guns...

Windjammer Cruises

I've done the BVI's on the Yankee Clipper about 15 years ago and the Grenadines about 2 years ago on the Polynesia. I admit I preferred the Yankee Clipper since it was a smaller ship and we had more influence on where we sailed. We were originally supposed to sail into Saba but the majority of passe...

Ocean City

See the thread for Ocean City and Seacrets, it's a good place to go. Great beach, nice bars, decent hotels and not too terribly crowded. And it's definitely a shorter drive then Florida.
